I have a Ryobi PPW3000 purchased new in Jan 2010 and little used. It fails to suction the detergent. 4 months after ordering a replacement suction kit I was sent the screw-in metal part to which the suction hose attaches + a bearing. Should there not be a spring also? It still does not suction. Thanks for your help. [email protected]

That door is called a valve door, and it may have broken, part #38718013. Or the valve arm, rear broke, part number 38719048. The spring part # is 38358001. Usually it is the valve arm that breaks. You would have to take the top cover off, then you can see the parts.

There should be a bottom plate covering the brush roll that you can remove, if you can't dig out the what is in there, try using your hose and suck it out from the bottom, maybe you will be able to get it out.

It only picks up under low pressure condition eather by adjusting wand or changing tip.

Two possible solutions come to mind. First off, there is a clog in your hose. If you have another vacuum, try using the hose on that one to **** it out.
If that doesn't work, you may need to have the clutch replaced. Check your warranty. The clog wont be covered, but the clutch will be,
