Hi Vicki.

F2 means that there is a problem with the rotor attached to spray arms on one side, and to impeller pump on the other. The electronic control detects rotation thanks to a hall sensor located at the base of the rotor. If rotation is not regular you get F2.

The problem is usually given by debris stuck in the rotor mechanism, and it is fixed taking apart and reassembling the rotor and arms. The sensor can also be faulty, but this happens quite uncommonly. Usually the problem gets fixed disassembling, cleaning and reassembling rotor and arms.

The video below shows how to disassemble upper part of the rotor. If cleaning that area does not fix the problem, sensor and part underneath must been accessed. At that point the repair will become more complicate and you may require a professional. Try cleaning the rotor, most of the time that is enough to fix the problem.

Regards.

    Hi.

F9 is top drawer control board failure.

Disconnect power and ensure that the drawer and parts have been reassembled properly. If that does not fix the problem, then the top drawer control module was faulty, and this has caused also the original F2 problem instead of a real issue with the rotor.

    Hi.

I checked service manual and I
found a more extensive explanation. F9 is not necessarily the
controller, but there may also be a problem with the motor. Since you
have had a code indicated rotation problem, then the motor may also
cause the issue. F9 may also be a temporary fault, as explained in
    previous comment.

If F9 goes away disconnecting power, then the
fault was temporary. While power is OFF, check that there is no lose
wiring harness. A disconnected wiring harness may result in F9. If F9
comes back, then the appliance needs a major repair.

    F9 :Power Supply/Controller fault.

    Isolation relay disabled,
disconnect then reconnect power enable relay.

    Action
    - If previous fault was F3, F8 or F9 then this F9 is a consequential fault.
    - If fault was displayed after power on, check solenoid coils and
    motor stator.
    - Check lid actuators.
    - Check electronic controller for signs of damage, overheating or blown components.
    - Test solenoid coils and motor winding resistances before eventually replacing a controller.
    - Check top
controller chassis and power harness are properly connected and no wires are loose. If controller is not receiving power from
bottom tub F9 will be displayed.
    - Replace controller only after testing all the parts listed above.

Top drawer can not be open

If this is a double drawer dishwasher and bottom drawing is functional but top drawer won't open means the controller on top drawer is faulty or power circuit is locked. If turning the mains power off and back on makes no difference then controller could be the problem. One way to test is to take the controller from bottom drawer and replace that in the top drawer. This requires a lot of patience and experience with electronic stuff. If you are not brave enough to test then call the technician. The controller is about $200 to buy. Make sure the mains power socket is taken out before working on the dishwasher internals.

F2 and a spanner appears after it is turned on to operate

Hi

F2 error is displayed when control won't sense motor to be rotating, usually occurs due to frozen/bad motor or stuck motor rotor or the RPS sensor or a bad stator assembly. If the motor rotor spins freely and both impellers are securely attached then the issue is with the RPS sensor. If the motor won't rotate then it is the motor rotor that has to be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

I have a 10 year old dishdraw (Model No DD601v2). It is displaying a fault message "F1" on the top draw display and will not start. What fault is this indicating?

Normally F1 should display in both drawers.

But this is a bit unsual. Please confirm if you are still able to operate the bottom drawer.

My dishwasher is showing signs of a spanner

I am slightly unsure if your double drawer dishwasher is the prefinished model (self standing with LCD display) or the integrated model with no LCD display.

The spanner symbol on the top drawer is telling you that a fault code is actuated. But I am not sure where this symbol is on your unit if it is built -in (integrated model).

You will have to check which red light (from the left) is coming on.
I assume there are 5 lights on the inside of drawer.

With the bottom drawer - again you will have to check which light from the left comes on sometimes as you mentioned.

If you have a user manual you should be able to tell what Fault code it is - something like F1 or F2 etc. Is it continuously beeping when the red light is on? How do you turn the beeps off?

The scrubbing bush symbol on bottom drawer may not be a problem. It appears the drawer is programmed to a particular option. But I am not sure where this symbol is showing if you do not have an LCD display panel. You can reset the option - possibly auto lock or auto power or dish cleaned (depending on your model) if you follow the user manual.

happy to take you through a possible cause of the problem if you post answers to my questions above.

HI I HAVE A F2 CODE ON MY TOP DRAW OF MY DELONGHI DOUBLE DRAW

You will need.to remove the draws and dry the under tray as it has a flood.warning sensor to detect water, this is due to lime.building up.around the tub top.seal and will.need.cleaning off as it causes leaks to run down into the tray
