my name is Hussein, I have an Opel Vectra 2004 Model 4 cylinders.
the radio is locked, when switch it on, at it's screen shows the word "SAFE"
It would be appreciated if you could dend me the steps whtch enabled me to unlock it.

Remove radio and write the chassis number down ,then look on torrent sites for radio decoder package and then use the appropiate programme contained in the package for your make of radio

Hi did you do the engine overhaul yourself? if so I don't think you have any comeback, but, is a registered agent did the work, you should take it back and get them to rectify the problem at their expense as they are the agents for the Opel company in Germany. Incidentally, General Motors sold Opel and Peugeot, France bought it, so you may have a battle to get satisfaction. Good luck!!

I got a security code for the radio 7980, but every time I try it it does not work.
I finally got the radio out and the info is on a sticker on top

cylinder 4 misfire ,now if this is a GM product then i think you may need a reconditioned ECU init as if this is the 4 cyl engine and its same as the opel astra and zafiro and the vectra then its a common fault with a 2000 to 2004/5 model the computer is bolted to the engine inlet manifold and very weak and susceptable
