Hi,
Start your PC .
Right click on the icon my computer on the desktop.

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your "((MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error even something as small as a faulty electrical extension or fan lead can cause this problem hope this helps

DVD drive not found issue in windows 7

In some cases your DVD drive may not be found by Windows 7, even if it's visible in the BIOS and using the standard driver.<br /><br />The standard solution here is to run <span style="font-weight: bold;">REGEDIT</span>, and navigate to <br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\</span>, <br /><br />then delete both UpperFilters and LowerFilters in the right-hand pane (UpperFilters.bak and LowerFilters.bak entries can be ignored).<br /><br />If its not working you can try resetting the drive letter .To do that,<br /><br />Go to <span style="font-weight: bold;">Start</span>, type <span style="font-weight: bold;">Disk Management</span> and choose the <span style="font-weight: bold;">"Create and format hard disk partitions</span>" link. If your optical drive is visible here then right-click it, select Change Drive Letter and Paths, click Change and choose a new letter. If the drive is now visible in Explorer, then repeat the process to change the drive letter back; if it's still not visible, reboot and it should appear.

"DVD Drive Cannot Be Found in windows 7"

Solution: In some cases your DVD drive may not be found by Windows 7, even if it's visible in the BIOS and using the standard driver.

This might cause because of a registry hack aswell.

The standard solution here is to run REGEDIT, browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\, then delete both UpperFilters and LowerFilters in the right-hand pane (UpperFilters.bak and LowerFilters.bak entries can be ignored).

No change?

Resetting the drive letter has worked for some.

Click Start, type Disk Management and choose the "Create and format hard disk partitions" link. If your optical drive is visible here then right-click it, select Change Drive Letter and Paths, click Change and choose a new letter. If the drive is now visible in Explorer, then repeat the process to change the drive letter back; if it`s still not visible, reboot and it should appear.

HannStar J MV-4 (jumper clearcmos/reset bios) password initial wrong setup bios heeeeeellppp.

The location of the jumpers or dipswitches may vary; however, here are some locations of the jumpers / dipswitches.
  1. On the edge of the motherboard - Most jumpers are located on the side of the motherboard for easy accessibility, verify by looking at all visible edges of the motherboard.
  2. By the CMOS battery - Some manufactures will place the jumper to clear the CMOS / BIOS password by the actual CMOS battery.
  3. By the processor - Some manufactures will place the jumpers by the processor of the computer. However, note that in some cases these jumpers will be to change the processor and not the password.
  4. Under the keyboard or bottom of laptop - If you are working on a laptop computer the location of the dipswitch (almost never a jumper) can be under the keyboard or on the bottom of the laptop in a compartment such as the memory compartment.
  5. Other visible location - While it is possible that the jumpers / dipswitches may not be in a visible location, most manufactures try to make things easier by placing the jumpers / dipswitches in another visible location.
  6. Jumpers may also be found underneath or allongside the memory modules.
I hope this helps but suggest that the manufacturers web site or your instruction manual, may have the answer.

Hard disk not found error during Clean XP home Install

That happens because the BIOS uses a SATA controller that is not included in Windows XP install disk.

Usually you can solve the problem going to BIOS settings and changing SATA/RAID settings.Check your BIOS settings, and disable SATA RAID mode. This is done in different ways depending on the BIOS.

On HP/Compaq computers for example you press F2 on startup to enter BIOS, then disable SATA mode on bios settings.
On other makes the procedure can be slightly different.

Another way to fix the problem, is by creating your own XP setup disk with SATA drivers included, see:
Resolving "Setup did not find any hard disk drives" during Windows .

ECS p4m800pro m2 Onboard Network Adapter does not show up in windows

Try disabling the network adapter in the bios and removing any network adapter in device manager in Windows
Then reboot
Windows so it thinks there is no network adapter.
Then
Reboot into bios and re-anable the onboard network adapter.
Then see if windows detects the network adapter now that it is enabled.
