Hi if you are skillful enough you can remove it. but there is risk involve. Maybe you bring to local repair shop. They would charge you around $15 to 65 depend on what they really want to charge. Thanks and best regard!

Yellow Spot on Dell IN2020M monitor due to heavy exposure of 100w bulb how to remove that?

No you cannot replace an individual LED, it's simply too hard for yourself to do it. The led is a sheet of led diodes and to replace one is very difficult, requiring lots of soldering etc. You should get it to a repair shop where they have spare exchangeable panels which is easier to replace. Also the yellowish colour is probably due to the pixel itself being burnt, not the LED light.

Left side on my laptop monitor is black, is it the monitor or the grapic card that is bad

If you have an external monitor, plug it into your laptop. If, on the external monitor, there is also graphical errors, it's your GPU, if not, then it's your display.

If you don't have one, it's a little more tricky. Generally, if it's a display issue, it will affect absolutely everything, all the time, the same way. If it's a GPU issue, you're going to see fluctuations, flickering, and just general weirdness.

The only way to tell for certain is to swap parts. Since a monitors is far easier to plug in than another GPU, that's your best bet to be sure.

I have a dell e198fp monitor con nected to a dell latitude d400. Got monitor from daughter who said monitor was working then went black and stayed same. I get a blinking green power button with a black...

I suspect you will find that there are bad capacitors on the power supply board. If you aren't handy with a soldering iron, however, I would not recommend this repair. It can be easy to permanently damage things. If you aren't afraid of that, however, give it a try.

There are two that I have found that typically fail (680 microfarad, 16 volt). They usually "bulge" on top after failing. I have found that the replacement value doesn't seem to be too critical. I wish I had written down the actual designators for these caps (maybe next time I repair one of these monitors).

WARNING! DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE DISASSEMBLING THE MONITOR AND DO NOT RECONNECT POWER UNTIL ALL SHIELDING IS REINSTALLED!!! DANGEROUS LINE VOLTAGE WILL BE EXPOSED!!!

Once you get the bezel apart and get down to the metal shielding, slide the shield on the right hand side to remove (arrows pointing to each other). There will be four connectors underneath this shield to power the backlight. Disconnect these four connectors, paying close attention to where they were connected.

Disconnect the small ribbon cable on the other side connecting to the front panel controls...There is a small black tab that will flip up to allow removal of the ribbon cable. CAUTION! THESE CABLES ARE DELICATE...DAMAGING THE CABLE OR THE CONNECTOR WILL DESTROY YOUR MONITOR.

There are four screws holding the power supply section to the LCD itself (two on each side). Once you remove these screws the rear shield (and power supply section) will start to separate from the LCD. There is another ribbon cable between the power supply section and the LCD panel...AGAIN...DO NOT DAMAGE THIS CABLE OR CONNECTOR! Squeeze the two black tabs on either side of this connector to remove.

You should now have the power supply board exposed. Remove the screws securing the power supply board to the shield. You will need to disconnect the connector attaching the AC power inlet to the board in order to access the top side...

The failed capacitors should be readily apparent. Replace them, re-assemble and test.

That's it

Timing marks not lining up on xl 125 its either 1/2 a tooth out on either side of the cam sprocket

When this occurs, the timing chain has stretched to the point where you'll never get the valve timing exactly right. I'd replace the chain, they're cheap enough (about 25 bucks) and I bet it will line up spot on. Have removed some Honda timing chains that were almost stretched a full link longer than the new one I was installing. Good luck!

it sounds like you have a small crack on your screen that has gotten worse over time, these black areas are where the lcd crystals aren't active anymore, unfortunately there isn't allot you can do apart from buy a new screen or put up with the black lines.

My ViewSonic va1930wm monitor has black spots.

How long have you owned it? Mine did the same thing. It was a dead spot which got worse. It was just past warranty (of course) but I took it back to Home Depot & they worked with me to get it replaced. Unfortunately, I think this is your only hope. The monitor dept. told me that once they get dead spots there is nothing you can do for them. Wish the news was better.
