Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

My Fisher & Paykel GWL11 will not drain. It completes the wash cycle without problems (fills & agitates), but after wash it stops a beeps every second continuously. On the Wash Progress monitor, both the rinse and spin lights are on. The lid lock light is not on. Do you think it is the lid lock solenoid or would it be the pump?

Hi,

Sounds like you probably have a bad diverter valve or diverter valve is clogged with debris or has failed. The diverter valve on a fisher paykel washer moves the water from the drain hose port to the motor.

To access the diverter valve tip the washer back and look in the back right corner. The valve is held into position with two small hose clamps. A wire connection snaps into position on the valves terminals.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

Fisher & Paykel ecosmart GWL11 fill problem

Your diverter valve is cloged with lint and not fully closed and is letting wash water go down the drain.

Fisher Paykel will not drain

I had the same problem. After cut the power off for at least 60 seconds and then back on, as the manual suggests, the problem remained. Therefore I started putting the clothes out and bailing the water out. Once the water was down about half way the pump started working. I suspect the sensor was "stuck". I cycled the washer without clothes and it worked fine. Still working after several loads of laundry. The water level sensor will probably need replacing sometime soon.
