If the unit was dropped on the front most likely the hinges have bent remove both doors and check to see if the hinges even have a slight bend also you stated that the rear is square but the front of the cabinet is not in order to get that to go back to square your in for one heck of a rack job on that one remove the doors and try racking the cabinet itself back to more of a square in the front although by doing this you will take the rear out of square a bit how hard was it droped I have had the pleasure of having to repair Coca cola and pepsi machines in the past after they were hit by things like cars or dropped out a second story window so I know where your coming from on this and I sympethize what what your trying to do but It might be easier to go to a recycle center and get a cabinet of the same unit from them although racking a frige is far more easier then a metal soda vendor. If you are unable to rack the cabinet back to an almost square postion you may have to bend the hinges further then they are first check is it the actual cabinet that is unsquare or how the door sits on the cabinet I await your reply Thanks Rick

Hello Omie;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.
Bottom drawer & bottom freezers are nightmares. Next time but a side by side or top freezer.
Ok, lets fix this. Using a hair dryer defrost all of the ice around the door. Next, you have a rack and pinion assembly that the drawer rides on. This also is iced up. Defrost the rack & pinion.
When you close the drawer you will probably have a gap on one side. This is caused from the ice build up and the rack and pinion jumping a tooth.
Where the side is that has the gap, you must lift the drawer and jerk hard towards the gap to jump a rack and pinion on the opposite side. You may have to repeat this. It is a strong arm operation.

If your refrigerator is fairly new, the seals probably are OK. More likely, the door alignment has to be adjusted.

Refrigerator door seal has gap, and the alarm keeps going off

My refrigerator as delivered had noticeable gaps in the sealing gasket. The solution is to adjust the doors to eliminate the gap. The door hinges allow for adjustment by loosening hardware, adjusting, and tightening hardware again.

The three prong relay connector on the compressor on my Haier compact does not have the common, start and run marked. how do I figure out which is common and run?

Tecumseh terminal pins always thought of
in the order: Common, Start, Run. To identify the
terminal pins, we read the order exactly as we would
read a book: That is, we start at the top left hand
corner and read across the first “line” from left to
right. We then drop down to the second line starting
at the left and read across. Some compressor models
have terminal pin identification embossed on the
protective terminal cover.
The common will go to the external overload protector. The run will be connected to the power side of the relay.
Hope this helps.

Check the lower hinge of that door for a broken closer cam. The upper hinge is adjustable and adjusting the corners in the front will shift the cabinet to align the door also.

Hi, this is caused sometimes by Teens and Adults holding the door open with there hand on the upper corner resting as they look for goodies, I do this. This sometimes will cause the door to loosen up and move down a wee bit. Look over the hinges on the door, they should be adjustable to see if they have moved. I am sure this is the problem. You can loosen some more, and raise or lower the door. It would be a lot better to have another set of hands to help with this. This will take care of the freezer door.Best of Luck, Sincerely,

I just replaced my door seal on my refrigerator and now it won't seal on the lower left corner. I've checked all the hardware and everything looks good. I believe the door has been sprung. Is there...

First, try to use a hair dryer to see if it will seal that way. Then try to let it set all night without opening the door to seal it.

Secondly, look at the hinges to see if they are working properly.

We hope this answers your questions and solves your problem.

In units with physically separate sections, there is a fan that circulates the cold air between the two with some provision for adjusting the airflow to balance the temperature between the two chambers.

The cooling system is normally a totally closed loop that is charged in the factory through a nipple that is then pinched and welded shut.
This nipple must be cut and resealed to recharge the system.
