Question about Cub Cadet Garden
The service people replaced a bad coil. The old coil slowly petered out untill the cub would not start.

You could have one or more of several problems. With the gas scenario you mention, you're getting gas INTO the carburetor. But the carb could be grungy and in need of cleaning (90 percent of mower problems in my experience). My question is this: is the thing "Firing"? like do you hear it kick in like it wants to start. If not, then it may not be getting any spark. Take the spark plug out and buy a new one for about $3 (match the numbers up on the side of the plug ceramic). It never hurts to replace it anyway. With the info you have provided here, that is all I can give you right now, but hope it helps. Good Luck.
