Question about Palm TX Handheld
All I can suggest is a Hard Reset, which would wipe the handheld of all data:
Hold the Power button on Top of Palm down, then press reset button. Release the reset button and continue to hold the power button down until the second Palm logo comes on screen and progress bar at the bottom of screen completes.
If you release the power button and it asks which language you want to use you have done the this correctly.

I would consider this more of a hardware problem than software. some
component is going faulty.. most probably the display IC or LCD itself.
but first, i would recommend re-soldering the LCD connector. then test.
check picture below.
