The left pedal assembly won't stay on a Mongoose XR75 24 inch full suspension mountain bike about 1 year old. (not the pedal itself but the shaft that the pedal attaches to comes loose). Tried blue and...


mine use to do that too, try lock tight in the nut after tightin on the nut make sure you put enough and make sue its tight it works till you need to take the pedal off it worked for mine

Putting the chain on


While the bike is in riding position loop the chain on the back sprocket. If this is a single speed bike then place as much of the chain as you can on the top of the front sprocket. Once it is partially threaded you can crank pedal around a half a turn and the chain will pop on the rest of the teeth.

My son's Mongoose XR75 Mountain bike's gear box is


Derailleur. Everything on a bike that bolts on can be replaced. Take it to a bicycle shop for assessment. Special tools are involved.

Any good bicycle repair shop should stock a variety of wheels. Ask the staff and tell them what kind of riding your son does or better yet, take him along with you. A fun project if you can afford it is to build your own.
