Question about Sansui DVD & Blu-Ray Players
first of all, I have a Sansui micro 1500DSSW DVD Micro music system.
I use it mostly to play music from my computer over it. However the AUX2 entrance is acting up. Whenever playing sound though it (not only from my computer, from my mp3 player too) it turns the sound down by itself until it's muted, like someone is slowly turning the volume-knob. The device is about 2 years old now and I never had any problems with it.
I would certainly take the unit back cause that noise could be the tracking or focus coils making that noise as they are being overdriver. This could cause the unit to fail prematurly. Its not an adjustment that you can do your self, it takes special equipment and disc

Go to sound menu of dvd player and select Stereo sound and if surround is enabled, disable it.
You can get help from user manual of dvd player.

First make sure the disc is compatible with the dvd player (CD-R+ , or CD-R - )
Second make sure the region code of the dvd you burned is compatible with the dvd region settings on your dvd player.
One of those two are preventing the disc from playing in your sansui player.
