Question about KitchenAid Architect Series KDRP467KSS 36" Pro-Style Dual Fuel Burner with 4-15,000 & 2-6,000 BTU Se... Range

1 Answer

Kitchenaid dual fuel range KDRP467KSS Oven preheats, but then stops maintaining temp. No error codes. I open and close door, turn it on and off, none of which seems to work and after 10 or 15 minutes it will start heating again. Very frustrating.

what should the resistance on the sensor be? How can thermostat be tested? I have a multimeter.

How is the thermostat and sensor accessed? Inside the oven? Or from the back? The schematic does not show where to access these parts. Thanks!

The thermostat in the unit has to be checked. It must be faulty or causing the problem. Also check the temperature sensor. The temperature sensor triggers the sensor to turn on and turn off.If any of the one is not functioning the oven will not maintain the temperature. You can get required parts from from online sites like: --- or from searspartsdirect online site. --------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Display has error code f2e1

F2-E1 Error indicates a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Kitcheaid electrical Oven

If you go to click on repair help at the top then "error codes" on the left side in a gray box. you can look up the error code. I found F2-E0 but not FE02 for a KitchenAid range.
What I found means shorted key pad. Some times just unplugging the unit or shutting down the circuit breaker that controls it for half an hour it will reset. not guarunteed but less expensive than replacing if it works. Good luck.

I have a hotpoint range where the oven and clock display suddenly stopped working, but the gas range top does... what do I do?

Sounds like you have a bad main oven control board (ERC).
Bad new is you will need to replace it or have it replaced. Good news is that it is not difficult to do

Replace the control panel thermal
fuse (Microtemp G4A01093C). Its in the wiring harness between
the control transformer and the control panel on a blue wire.
It looks like a resistor inside a clear plastic tube and is
mounted on a metal bracket with plastic clips. It has a spade
connection on each end. It can be accessed by removing
metal access panels from the back of the range and it
is in the area below the gas burner deck.
