The radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code First remove theradio from the dashboard. Then post the radiomake+model plus all the letters+numbers on any labels, barcodes or stamped inthe metal casing. This information canthen be used to see if a code can be calculated

Replaced the radio in my 2001 Pontiac Sunfire with a radio from a scrapped 2001 Grand Am. Radio says "locked". How do I get it to work?.

Because you have removed the radio from a power source it automatically goes into stolen mode making the radio useless when stolen. This mode is selected when you change the battery but in that case you would have access to the code to re-enter it. Talk with a radio tech and they may be able to say how to fix or where to go to get the code.

Car won't start, battery is good, won't even turn over.

These vehicles are prone to failures in the antitheft system. This will actually lock out the starter and/or injectors. Read thru this link, might be your problem.

I NEED SOLUTIONS AND RADIO CODE FOR VOLKSWAGEN CABRIO 2001

you will have to go to the dealer to get the radio code as these are anti-theft radios so if they are stolen they won`t work without the code.

2004 Pontiac grand prix gtp won't start- fully

You need a new starter solenoid. It is essentially a heavy duty remote switch that is activated by your ignition key switch. The solenoids get stuck or don't conduct well after 6 to10 years.

I disconected the battery and now it is reconected the radio does not work

The stereo is in lock mode because it thinks it was stolen. Usually there is a combination of button presses to unlock. You can get directions from the dealer or most car audio shops, as this is a common problem when adding audio components.

Code for my stereo

This sucks but you have to get the code from your dealer. Give them your vin and it cost 25 dollars. The radio does this every time power is disconected as if it were being stolen from the car, so if you pull the bat or the fuse you will always need the code.
