Question about Televison & Video
You need to find a digital channel that is providing a 1080 pict. No way to change a brodcasted 480 picture to a 1080. Get with your cable provider to see what channels are available in 1080. You could get a Bluray dvd player and you would receive 1080p picture. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: how do I get 1080 on TV
You only get it if they send it. Only Blue Ray DVD's are in 1080p and games I suppose, as of this time. everything else is 480i or 720p. As your manual says "TV CAN GET"--- not produce what isn't there. I hope this helps.

The TV will show the resolution of the video source is the TV is being fed with, you do not adjust the resolution at the TV. Check your video source. It works the same way as the PC monitor, you set the display resolution at the PC not at the monitor.
