    Hi John,

Microwave showed up because you posted under that category. No problem...

Kenmore is a Sears product. Here is there customer service number: 1-800-252-1698

You can go to this webpage: >>>>http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdir... <<<<

You will see that there is more to your model number than what you indicated. Click on the one that matches yours and see if a control board is listed. I know wiring harnesses are.
If not listed, you must contact customer service to order the part.
    Good luck.

I hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up. Thanks,

    Handie Andie

Kenmore oven C880 676239J2 is not heating up... is the only fuse the one located under the light on top of the control panel?

I doubt that fuse is used for the heating element. If you can unplug the element in the oven, an ohmmeter should show you if it has opened up (burned out) on you. Turn off the 220 breaker in the breaker box before doing this even though there should be no voltage with the controls turned off. (There usually will still be 110 to the top of the unit.)

I have a built in wall oven whirlpool gold mod.gbs309pvsoo controls turn on but no heat from element

Could be element could be Hi limit thermostat could be control. In that order. First step is turn breaker off and remove element to make sure the wires are still connected to back of element. Visually inspect element very good for burns or a white powder residue signally the element burned up. Next step is harder, need to remove the oven and take off back panel, there you will find the hi temp thermostat. Check for continuity, if none replace.

Usually when the element fails to heat up, It means its usually broke, cracked, or where they plug in gets brittle and breaks. Your best bet is to replace the bottom element.

While pre heating oven, heard a sort of explosion. The bake element was definitely broken. A new one was purchased, installed, but it does not heat up. The broiler also does not work, but stove top does....

i have seen elements short out and cause the main board to fail. if eeverything else works you know you have proper power , so i would say the board is bad

Maytag Gemini Electric Range Model MER6770AAW. Upper oven broiler element will not heat up. Took the element to a parts appliance store where they tested it, and the element tested that it was still...

The control to tun the element on must be faulty, you will have to check it with an ohmmeter after youtake the wires off of jt make sure you draw a diagram of where the wires go when you put them back on Make sure to turn the power off before you start Hope this works for you good luck

My old GE oven (JSP38G052BG) won't bake or broil. It start then stop after 1 or 2 minutes. The heating elements get worm. Can you help me please

Hello ediben11.

If your oven's bake or the broiler heating elements won't heat but the range burners still work;the clock may be set for a timed or self-cleaning cycle. So,make sure to check the clock buttons and the knobs are set properly.
*If your clock has a knob that says "push for manual" then push the knob in after that, try the baking and broiling elements again.

*If it still does not work properly, you may have a defect in the thermostat/selector switch/common wiring.

*If the oven does not have a separate bake or broil selector switch; then the thermostat is probably the problem. It is not easy to check the selector switch or thermostat for proper operation. If you suspect a problem in this area, call a qualified appliance repair technician.

Hope this helps.

Microwave not heating

In all likelihood the Magnetron, or Power Diode has failed, or perhaps even the Power Supply. You need to have it serviced by a reputable service centre/man. Ensure you get a firm "Quote" before proceeding, and remember these days the cost of repair can equal or exceed the price of a new one.
