Question about Columbia Telecommunications Group FRS14SP-2 2-Way Radio

Open Question

I bought a Columbia Telecommunications 1:8 supra. The model is: Rc10to from a specialty store a while back and lost the controller. I am just wondering if Rc car stores would carry a universal Controller that would work on it. I know I have heard of them but searching the internet isn't helping much I really want to run it again so any information would be nice.

SOURCE: looking for a charger/adaptor for a toy RC car

Buy a "universal charger" wall wort. Most will chargs 1.5 VDC to 12 VDC in steps adjusted by a slide switch. The polarity of the tip is switchable from + to -, so be careful to switch the tip to the right polarity for your radio. Try to find one that has close to the same current output that the original charger had. Good Luck,

Columbia two radios have been stored away for at least three years. Now the grand kids cant get them to recharge? Where can we get new BATTERIES?

First check the insides of the radios. If they have been corroded by battery acid you most likely cannot recover them. Check that before you scrounge the Earth for obsolete batteries.

My gmrs 1 will not turn on with batteries installed. Purchased a set at a thrift store and dont have an account, want to know why they will not at least turn on.

Are the batteries fully charged? Are the batteries inserted with the correct polarity? If still no job return them to the store for an exchange

Does columbia telecommunications group, inc have a website and if so what is it?

The last known contact information for Columbia Telecom is as follows:

Headquarters Location
174 Milbar Blvd., Farmingdale, NY 11735, United States
(631)501-5000
http://www.columbiatel.com

The bad news is, the company itself doesn't seem to exist anymore, other than bad consumer reviews and issues with company practices. The website is no longer valid either.
