I have programmed my remote to an older JVC television. everything works, but i cannot change the input from the remote. I have a ps3 hooked to the tv. anytime i want to play my ps3 i have to manually press the menu button like a million times until i finally find the input option. is there a way to get the input button working? or at least find input in the menu? the menu button works on the remote.

If the tv has an input button on the side it should let you scroll through all the inputs without having to go through the menu. Hope this helps.

I can't figure out how to program cable box. The cable is hooked up to the TV, but I can't find out how to get channels. Is there a certain menu or imput?

Are you getting any picture at all? check your tv's input button on the remote if your cable box is hooked up with hdmi select hdmi, if it is component video cable select component video, and if it uses a coaxial cable it should be something along the lines of tv. Push the input button on the remote to switch between the different modes

What is the AV Net code for a PS3? Will it connect with my Hitachi 60V500A to Input 2 if I have the proper code?

AV Net is for controlling devices with your Hitachi remote. Your PS3 does not use standard IR or RF technologies for it's control, and uses Bluetooth instead. There is a Logitech Harmony adapter that will allow Harmony remotes to control the PS3 however it won't work with AV Net.

Your PS3 should hook up to your TV via Input 2 with no codes needed.

Original remote lost. have universal remote. cannot program TV

On the right hand side of this television there are panel buttons. It appears that your son in law knocked the tv out of the correct input. Press the input button in order to cycle through the 5 inputs. Typically pressing the input button on the side panel of a television and pressing it again and again and again will make it change inputs. Universally the buttons on the tv panel function as follows: Channel up moves the cursor up. Channel down moves the cursor down. Volume + moves the cursor right. Volume - moves the cursor left.
Hope this helps

Cant hook up HDMi cabe from PS3 to JVC

1. check the input that the PS3 is connected to
2. select that input on the TV
3. Press and hold the [power] button on the PS3
4. perform the video setup for the PS3

My guess is that you don't have the HDMI setting correct on the PS3.

Can't play dvd player on JVC tv; I don't have a JVC remote.

I hooked up a Pioneer DVD player to my TV and when I play a DVD the volume cannot be controlled by the TV. It just plays at one level and on the louder side. When I'm watching regular TV and the DVD player is on and playing a disc I start to hear the DVD soundtrack at the same time as the whatever I'm watching on TV. I should not be able to hear anything until I switch over to Video 1. Any suggestions?

Locked out of older Mitsubishi VS4503R. Need owners manual/help!

If you are locked out of the inputs, you need a original Mits remote. Push QV and the 9 button simultaneously to unlock temporarily. Some models its the SQV button and 9. This will let you get in to change the code. You can also get a simmilar issues with the active AV network turned on, it will lock it to a set input (ie input 1). Try going into the menu and turning the av network off.

Trying to connect playstation 3 to my tv having no success

For real try this:
Turn off the tv as well as the ps3 (to where the red ps3 light is on); Then just hold down the power button in the front for like 15 seconds or so, at least until you hear a beep. Then turn the Tv back on, and hopefully once you get the tv back on the correct hdmi input, you'll see that little message offering you to switch to optimum settings.
Hope it works. Did for me.

The input button

On some sets you can use the menu button to enter the menu and navigate to the page which shows what input is currently selected and change it there. If your set does not have that option, then you will need the remote to do it. I have found that on some universal remotes, the TV/VCR button switches the inputs on the TV when the remote is in the TV mode. If that button does not work on your remote for your set, and you have tried all possible codes for JVC TVs, then the only way to switch inputs is to invest a few dollars more and get an original remote from JVC or have the set repaired so that the input button on the TV functions again.
