Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
I suppose this is a skill testing question. I wonder what the prize is ...
There are 2 ways of figuring this out.
1. $17.26 x 5 / 100 = $0.86 (the amount of your raise, rounded to the nearest penny)
Now add $17.26 + $0.86 = $18.12 (Your new hourly rate)
2. $17.26 equals 100% which is your present rate, right?
If you get a 5% increase, you will be making 105% of your present rate.
All you need to do now is multiply $17.26 by 105 and divide it by 100
