Question about Lexmark X6570 InkJet Printer

1 Answer

I have just changed both the colour and black cartridges in my Lexmark X6570 printer. The printer acknowledges that there are full cartridges but when I aligned the colour all that was printed was grey - no colour. When I tried to photocopy in colour I only got grey. I turned it off and tried to reset but same thing. How can I fix the problem. It was working fine until I changed the cartridges. Thanks, Sharon

Silly question, have you inserted cartridges in their right compartment?

Id yes!, To save yourself time, suggest you remove printer prog and reinstall latest update from Lexmark, rememeder to leave printer switched on while setting up

Where are the instructions on how to replace the black cartridge on the lexmark 6570

Hello. There's an article in the Lexmark website on how to change the cartridges on Lexmark inkjet and All-In-One printers. It has some graphics, as well, for you to better understand the instructions. Just click on this link: http://bit.ly/ccjYCZ . The printer shown may not look like your printer, however, the steps are the same. Hope this helps.

Clear paper jam but there isn't one!

Try lifting the main cover as if to access the ink cartridges. Make sure that a) the printer is switched on, and b) the ink cartridge carrier is out of the way. Right in the middle of the bay looking down onto it, you'll see a small black plastic peg not much bigger than the end of a ballpoint pen situated over a silver coloured roller. Use a small implement to push the black peg downwards. No force is necessary to do this, so if it won't push easily don't force it. Once pressed down, the printer should operate normally. I believe the small peg is a mechanical device to inform the printer that there is paper in the tray, when of course there isn't. Try it out. Let me know if it works. As I spent ages trying to fix mine and it worked for me.

My Lexmark Z600 has stopped using the colour 27 cartridge. On test print it only shows black test lines and on a colour picture it prints black. When printing it shows the colour cartridge as full. I have...

apparently the default printing color has been changed, you have to change it back either from "control panel/ printers /right click on your printer and click properties, and choose color for printing." or you can do it per printing job, when it shows u the printing options, (like number of copies and other (basically same window from the control panel). if you do it from the control panel whatever you choose, that would be the default, otherwise it is per job change and is not permanent.

Lexmark printer x6570 unable to allign after putting in new cartr

In this case what i would request u to do is....... Take out both the catridges from the Printer......... Take 2 Paper Towels one should be wet with Luke warm water and the other one should be dry........... Take the Colour catridge first turn it upside down and u will see a small copper plate on the catridge from where the ink comes out....... Place the wet paper towel using ur thumb on the Copper plate and press it a lit bit for 10 Seconds...... Now remove it and see whether u see any ink on the paper towel.......... U should see some ink on it now place the dry paper towel on the ink catridge in the same way........ Now do the same procedure again.......... Do the same procedure twice on the Black Catridge................. Now take the dry paper towel and turn the direction of the cartridge so that u can see a Copper plate on it with small boxes just clean that copper plate with the Dry Paper Towel.......... Know insert both the catridges inside the Printer the Colour Catridge should go in the right side and the black on the left........ Good Luck
