WE HAVE A SHARP ER-A610 CASH REGISTER WE WOULD LIKE TO CHANGE THE ITEM LABEL FOR EACH DEPARTMENT KEY BUT DON'T KNOW THE JOB # AND PROCEEDURE FOR DOING IT I DON'T HAVE ALL THE PAGES OF THE MANU

Sharp uses a 3-digit ASCII code for each character. The ER-A610 manual has a table of the codes, but if you've lost that part of the book, you can find ascii tables online, like this one:
http://www.ascii.cl/
Note that many of these show 2-digit codes; add a leading zero to those, so A is 065, B is 066, etc.
the 00 key on your ER-A610 has a special purpose here - it is used to enter each character's code, so to spell FOOD you'd enter:
070 00
079 00
079 00
068 00
where each of those double-zeroes is the double-zero key, not just two zeroes.
You need to know the number of each department you need to change. If you're not sure what order they're numbered in (It's completely customizable, so don't count on them being in order, unless you're sure.), print out your current department programming:
(In PGM1 or PGM2 mode)
1100 @/FOR CA/AT
will print out all the depts. CA/AT is the Cash key at the bottom-right corner of the keyboard. It stands for CAsh / Amount Tendered, which isn't exactly obvious, so some folks relabel it.
Note that on the tape you printed, the name is printed below the dept. number.
Now we're ready to start. In PGM2 mode, enter:
2114 . @/FOR (Is the decimal point after the 2114 visible here?)
[dept. number] @/FOR [character codes] SBTL
[dept. number] @/FOR [character codes] SBTL
[dept. number] @/FOR [character codes] SBTL
(etc. until done)
CA/AT
For [dept. number], enter the number on the keypad, not by touching the actual dept. key.
[character codes] is the sequence of 3-digit codes and 00 key presses, like the FOOD example above.
If the departments you're changing are sequential, life is a little easier. When you finish Department 6 (for example) by touching the SBTL key, it will automatically count up to 7. You can do a series of depts. by entering the first of them as above, then after using the SBTL key, go straight into the character codes for the next in line. Continue this way for as many are in series. You can jump ahead or back at any time by with [dept. no.] @/FOR and keep going from there.
SBTL in all the lines above, means the key that normally shows your subtotal including tax. It might be labeled #/SBTL. The MDSE SBTL key won't do the trick.
If you use PLU's in you register, their names are programed exactly the same, except that instead of starting with 2114, you use 2214. Simple, no?

How to register the prodact?

Well I don't know why you'd want to "register it" but you should have received a card in the box that you can send in to Microsoft to register it. If you mean the key for the cd then I'm sorry but this is not a warez site...We can't give out activation keys or access codes.

EE code

Make sure you don't have a paper jam, check the paper paths after you remove the ink roller.
Try turning the control key to PUnplug for 10 secondsPlug back inKey back to R
Also check the batteries to make sure they still have power.
If all these steps don't fix it then that means the main board is bad and the cash register needs to be replaced.

NOT ASSIGNED CODE

NOT ASSIGNED means no cashier is signed on. Find the cashier number button, probably labeled CASH #. In REG mode, press CL to clear the error, then 1, then CASH #, and Cashier 1 will be assigned. The display will show -01- Go straight from here into your sale.
Some registers are set up to not show the cashier number on the display or receipt. If 1 CASH # doesn't work, try CASH #, 1, CASH #.
Most users don't track sales by cashiers, so they forget they even have the capability, and they forget how to use that CASH # key. If you press the CASH # button without entering a number, it will sign out the active cashier, and you'll get this NOT ASSIGNED error.

Refrigerator freezing checked damper door works properly when i turn thermostat off it shuts

the board that it plugs into could be bad not sending messages to the damper to close .you'll have to keep an eye on it,if the machine does stop running and the cold control is ok check the damper door when it shuts off to see if it's closing,if it's electronic and the damper is closing when you manually shut it down and the cold control is working fine then most likely the board is bad that's behind the front top control panel.next time send the model number, the number is on the right hand wall up near the ceiling in the fridge side, you can go to the sears site, put your model number in and look up the board or call your parts store, give them the model number and they will sell you the board, also look down behind the bottom kick panel, you'll find the tech sheet,go through the diagnostics and it will help you determine what the problem is so you don't go out and buy parts that you don't need.http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action hope this helps and good luck with your machine.if you need more help please send the model number thanks.

Pcr265 register keeps doing 55555 like that all the time

Hello, Thanks for allowing me to help you.
Many times this can be caused by a key being jammed into the button pad under the keyboard assembly, witch would need repair.
But what you can do is lift the number 5 key up off the pad a little using a flat head screw driver , you don't want to break it but if its jammed down then this is what the issue is. You looking at a repair here witch depending on the actual cause weather its a key jam or a defective board under the kay. I would first have you check the number 5 key to see if its being depressed into the pad.

Hope this does help.
Best regards,
