SOURCE: Ive had the pump and salt water system going on

What is the appropriate amount of salt? The manual is only a starting point.
You need a salt test kit that reads in #'s not color
Get your pool to as close to 3000ppm
as you can any lower than 2800 and you will not generate enough chlorine any higher than 3700 and you can become cloudy and bad tasting

Yes the pump is weak and will create problems in the future with your system turning green
You need to continually use a non foaming algaecide along with a stabilizer to help hold the chlorine level

chlorine is consumed in many ways heat, sun, sun tan oil, rain,#of swimmers and so on so there may be days you need to generate 5 hours and sum 12 you will get used to what is good for you

Also clean the junk paper cartridge every day intex pumps are not even close to being sufficient for the size pool it comes with

I will use generic #'s for this illustration since I do not know your gallons of water or pump size

any pool needs to be turned over at the very least 3-4 times in a cycle
if your pool is 5000gl and you have a 1500gl ph pump you see that it takes 10 or so hours to filter at the minimum now add in that the pump slows down a bit when the paper filter gets loaded

A cartridge filter can look clean but be clogged with little particles that you do not see

Hope all of this is some help

Just remeber filter filter filter

SOURCE: Water loss in pool, but no hole in liner

The only problem is that ther is a leak in the liner. Generally at the bottom where a rock or debris has made a small hole. They can be patched but the pool will need to be drained. Call your local pool service company.

SOURCE: Looking for an intex filter pump

The best solution to this problem not to find a replacement intex pump/filter. I suggest getting a system with a 50 square foot cartridge filter and a 3/4 hp pump such as hayward or pentair offers. You will be amazed at the difference a little quality can make.

SOURCE: Hayward pump hose and intex pool

Im thinking that hot glue would not harden completly in a direct sun situation not to mention the potential mess
What I did was go to my local hardware store and bought rubber o rings ( sorry dont remember what size) put them on the fitting slipped the hose over it and clamped on top of that area. Has been fine all summer

hope you figure it out

How much salt to put in 18x48 pool frist time

Frame Set or Easy Set?

If Frame Set = About 6,400 Gallons
If Easy Set = About 5,450 Gallons

Salt levels in a pool for a generator to operate efficiently...
2700 ppm Minimum to 3400 ppm Maximum, 3200 being Ideal.

In pool water with NO Salt reading at all - 0, then you will add 2.67 lbs. of "Pool Salt" (which is almost Food Grade Quality! - NOT Softener Salt!) per 100 gallons of capacity.

Have a intex 18x48 above ground pool, how much salt to add to it for the first time

If you have an Easy Set pool, should be around 5500 gallons, then the initial salt add should be approximately 135lbs...

If you have an Circular Metal Frame pool, should be around 6400 gallons, then the initial salt add should be approximately 160lbs...

Make sure you only run the pump for 24 hrs to properly dissolve the salt, then you can set your chlorinator to desired time... Start high and work your way down... 10 hrs pump and 8 hrs chlorinate...
Check your chlorine level after the first two days and see if it starts to climb above 3ppm, if it does, lower your cycle time until you can maintain the 3ppm level...Hope this helps you?
Good luck and enjoy your pool!!!

I have a 15x 42" intex metal frame pool an i also

Most likely you are not. The manual is very conservative!!! I have a 14000 gallon pool and I run my intex salt system during the summer at 10 to 12 hrs pump and 8 to 10 hrs chlorination in between those 12 hrs and my pool stays very clear. But..... If you don't clean the unit and let it alarm for low flow, low salt or not run the unit log enough, you WILL HAVE GREEN WATER!!!
Hope this helps, If it does, please rate the tip!

15x33" - 65 pounds (80 for metal frame)
15x36 - 65 pounds (100 for metal frame)

How do you set the panel on a salt water intex pump mdl no.8110 and how much salt do use

to set the system, hold the down button until it beeps, then hold the up button until it beeps. Now the system is ready to set. Push the up button to the desired number of hours you want it to run. Now, hold the down button until it beeps, then the up button until it beeps. It should be locked and ready to start working.

Without knowing how large your pool is, I can't give you an exact amount of salt to use. If you know how many gallons your pool holds the formula is Gallons x 0.025 = pounds of salt to start up. When you need to add salt, its gallons x 0.0067 = pounds of salt to add when needed.

I lost my manuel & don't know how much salt I am supposed to have in it. My pool is an Intex 16 X 48.

I checked the manual.

For an Easy Set you need 110 lbs of salt
For the Metal Frame you need 125 lbs of salt

If you go online to the IntexCorp website, you can download an additional manual for free, takes a while to do but that way you'll have all the info in case you have any more problems.

Good Luck!
