Try to see if the problem is with a particular program or with every program.
Are you sure the speaker settings are ok?
Go to windows>Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Adjust System Volume and see if you can hear anything when you click on the sliders above 0% volume. If you can't hear any sound at any level, then try a system restart. If you still have no sound, track back and see if you installed any software recently. That may have a conflict with your sound drivers, so re-install the sound drivers.
If not, please provide more information and I'll help you fix the problem.
Regards.

There is no audio driver and did not know my motherboard detail and i losted my driver cd and also did not know driver site

You see, I've found this audio driver on HP' support page. It's meant for Windows Vista. There's no audio driver there for either XP or 2000, though.
Well, if you're running Vista, download it, execute it on your PC, and follow the prompts.
Hope it works for you.
Anyway, please, let me know if I can assist you any further.
Regards, Carlos

I have lost my speakers on the monitor. Using Microsoft XP, they were working but now they are not. Did some driver updates then lost the sound on the monitor. Checking the control panel indicates that...

Sounds like you've lost audio output from the sound card. Unplug the audio cable from the sound card and plug in a set of ear buds or headphones. If you don't get any sound your driver's not working. Try reinstalling the old driver.

Are the screen and computer sharing the same power supply, on a 4-gang multiplug or similar?
What else is plugged in to the same supply?
Have you got another HDMI cable to try this with?
How is the audio connected - can that be changed to test it?
Have you another laptop or PC that you can connect to see if this is the TV or the laptop causing the issues?

Audio driver of p4pe2-x motherboard

Go to Asus site and the SUPPORT section - here http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=P4PE2-X&p=1&s=15&hashedid=jC2iTOxTM8ZfeeEj

Pick your operating system (ie windows xp) and hit enter which will take you to the drivers for that motherboard including the audio driver.

(you didn't say it was Asus but I just happen to have that same board so reconigzed it :) ) You'll also find other drivers and probably a manual if you've lost yours.
