Question about Bose Companion 3 Computer Speakers
I just bought Bose Companion II speakers for my son's computer. When we try to connect to the back, his old Dell had a single plug that is color coded green, the two wires from the Bose speakers do not work. I can get a buzzing feedback, but no real sound. I have switched the red/white plugs in various combinations. Any idea why it is not working?
I would send it back to the shop and get another one , if that one doesnt work then i would sent that one in for a refund there sounds to me that there is nothing else you can do
please rate my help to you thank you

Yes. The companion 3 system can be repaired for $75. Call Bose at 800-367-4008. They will also give you a new 1 year warranty.

My puppy chewed through the cord for my a/c adapter, I just took the speakers into Circuit City, and they found me a workable replacement (the replacement isn't BOSE, but it works just fine). Hope that helps!

you have to call customer service at 1-800-367-4008.Run about $35.
For the broken cable, have you tried to fabricate a new cable for it?

I had the same problem for many months. I asked a sound & video professional and he suggested I move the subwoofer away from any power source. I had the subwoofer next to my UPS. Once separated and moved all wiring away from the power supply (about 12") the low bass hum was practically gone.
