Question about Kitchen Ranges
When you removed the casing, it most likely had a hose attached to it to a drain.
Check to see if the hose is laying in the way of the casing.
If this is not it, then there must be another abstruction laying in the way.
Disconnect the dehumidifier from the electrical outlet, before you go
inside to take a look. It has to be something that was there to let you know
that it was full of water or empty.
