Replace fuel filter in tank if you have not already done so. Also clean or replace air filter. Make sure there is no leak in primer bulb ((you should feel resistance after pressing several times before starting). Make sure there are no kinks in the fuel line to the carb (if you detach line from the carb fuel should flow from the tank. Otherwise you may have carb issues.

I have a rural king generator 6500 E It starts fine but after a few Minutes it dies?

It sounds like it is starving for fuel. You probably need to rebuild the carb.

I have a 1983 25hp Johnson outboard that starves for fuel after it runs for a short time. You can pump the fuel bulb a few times and it will start right back up and run for a few minutes then starve out...

ON outboard fuel tanks there is a valve in the filler cap that you screw in when travelling to stop fuel splashing out. Your problem sounds like that screw is still screwed in and so you are getting a vacuum in the tank which is not allowing the fuel to flow to the pump.

Engine light came on. RPMs slowed to idle and no throttle response. Possible problem?

Have you changed your fuel filter? When the filter becomes clogged, it will cause you to just idle. Your engine is being starved for fuel. If you shut it off for a couple of hours, and start it up again, it probably runs great for a few minutes. I'm not sure where you filter is, but I've had this happen to me before.

Have craftsman chain saw, runs ok for a few minutes then dies. found broken gas line.replaced fuel line, air filter, spark plug, checked muffler, also mixed fresh gas.eng acts like its out of gas. leave it...

The plugged vent gets my vote. Loosen the fuel cap when it starts to starve.
