Question about Bosch Axxis WFL 2060 Front Load Washer

Bosch Axxis WFL2060UC/01 FD8205 won't spin

Over last few months, have noticed the spin cycle sounding whiny. Stopped spinning completley so I just replaced the brushes on the motor and it has no effect. I put it on the spin cycle and push start. It makes an electrical sound but not at the motor. It makes the same sound even after removing the motor, so I have a problem before the motor. I have the back panel off and do not have any hosed connected but do not see any kill switch. What do you think is happening here? Is that noise the pump. Do I need to hook up the water supply and put the back on to have it work? I am confused and appreciate your assistance. Thanks!

My spin cycle is doing the same thing, when i went to remove the drain in the kick plate, it turns but i cant pull it out. I don't know if there is a step in the process that i might have missed, anything you can do to help would be great!

    thanks

Hiya
by elecrical sound i take it you mean a buzzing sound, if so it sounds like your pump is jammed. on the front of your machine their will be a plastic kick plate, if you remove this (carefully) you will find the pump filter, this catches all the debris from the water during the wash (coins, bra wires etc). you can remove this by turning it anti clockwise then pulling it out. remove any obstructions whiich may be lurking in there and also check inside the pump housing as things can get stuck behind the pumps fan then refit the filter.

you may need some old rags whilst you carry out this job as there may be water left i the pipes when you remove the filter.

hope this helps

I have the same problem on an axxis 2060 washer. I've been opening the drain nob for months. If i leave it off, sometimes it would do a quick spin... but now nothing, just the frustrating humming electrical sound kdkibs was speaking off. Anymore tips would be appreciated.

i think i may have a bit more info on these situations. I finally solved my problem. Bosch has had numerous complaints regarding the boot gasket. Inspect the boot gasket, any moisture or leaking in the gasket drains down and inevitably interferes with the electronics of the unit.

Water entering bleach dispenser, far right, but not detergent dispenser, far left. But I can hear water running and with drawer out, can see it trickling at back

I fixed the problem of the humming sound and the non draining or spinning by replacing the drain pump, which cost 40 bucks and two hours of work. i spent more time trying to diagnose and contact bosch than actually working on the machine. it is easiest to do if you can remove the dryer so that you can tip the washer up to gain access to the front bottom of the washer. the pump is connected by a few screws and two hoses. make sure you have removed all the water before attempting to replace it.
good luck,
adoggy

How to fix, no spin on Hotpoint WDF740?

Long shot guess here but ...have you checked / replaced the carbon brushes of the electric motor ???? common problem I have had before.
If it is not the brushes then it could be segments of the motor burnt out which could be expensive.

Doesn't spin

ok have you watched the machine go through the cycle you may find that it fills heats empties ok but you get no motor action ie the drum does not turn at all this is a common problem but only noticed when then clothes are wet after spin cycle If this is the case probably carbon brushes on motor and generally you will need to remove the motor to check or replace

Washing machine fills with water but then won't wash, spin or drain

Hi Claire if your beko washing machine wont drain or has a spin problem then you have to check the carbon brushes first.

Also check all waste pipes are clear and inspect the pump I have included this video below.

At our website I am doing self diagnostic videos on these beko's as we speak so all tutorials will be in this link below
How to replace Beko Washing Machine Motor Carbon Brushes
you might find this test video helpful but only do it if you have checked the motor

Kenmore washer stops spinning a few seconds in to the cycle.

Sounds like the brushes are struggling to get enough power to the motor to spin. Renew motor brushes

My Kenmore 80 Series washer (bought in 2003) won't spin - this happens on an intermittent basis, maybe once a month. When I go to empty the washer, I find all the clothes sopping wet. The pump works...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Sorry but it does sound as if the motor requires replacement because it is struggling, particularly when called upon to run the spin cycle. It is not uncommon to find that the brushes are worn sufficiently for them to not make perfect contact with the commutator at the higher speeds- bouncing and sparking. Now, a word or two of advice from this retired Englishman in SW France. It might be suggested that just the brushes on the motor want changing; experience (of others) suggests that they may only last months rather than many years UNLESS the motor itself is refurbished. Refurbishment includes skimming the commutator on which the brushes run. Without skimming the brushes do not sit cleanly on the commutator (like the worn ones!), often causing excessive sparking and excessive wear on BOTH. Alternately a new motor! I changed the motor on our 19+ year-old Bosch at a cost of GBP250 ;-0(
The choice of course is entirely up to you- but do not forget that it is not an uncommon fault, especially if the washer is not exactly new. Others I have given this advice to have chosen new brushes and I don't blame them!

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Hi LG WD 1433rd wont spin up to speed. Have replaced hall sensor as a LE code came up. What do I replace next??

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

'won't spin up to speed'- does that mean that it stays running at the normal slow speed? If so it could be motor OR control board.
If it is just struggling then it does sound as if the motor requires replacement, particularly noticeable when called upon to run the spin cycle. It is not uncommon to find that the brushes are worn sufficiently for them to not make perfect contact with the commutator at the higher speeds- bouncing and sparking.
