That TV will longer work with any Antenna by itself..the reason is a few years back the government mandated all TV signals will be HD. they sent out HD receiver boxes to allow old non HD TV's receive HD signals...I have a TV in my camper with the receiver Works great...Just see if you can locate one..there were thousands sent out..so they are out there Try Ebay..good luck.

My TV uses antenna only and I want to record TV programs. Is there a DVR that will work for me? (the Toshiba DVR 620 that I just purchased will not connect to my TV antenna unless there is an access

I use a TiVo roamio basic, it can record up to 4 programs at once and has a 500gb harddrive and is made for OTA, but can also use a cable card. Check it out on eBay.com or TiVo.com.

Hello
You heard is correct. Your roof antenna can be connected to your TV, after connecting it to a balancing coil adapter, usually called 'Balun Adapter" which converts the impedence from 300 to 75 Ohms. It can be bought for most of the electronic shops all around. Connect the antenna wire to it and then plug it to your TV antenna in socket. The stations will be very clear, and well defined. You may have to turn the roof top antenna towards the direction of the transmitting tower to get a well defined, ghost free image. OK.

Hello

If your TVs internal telescopic antenna has broken, you can us an external antenna from connecting to the rear antenna socket. For that you have to buy some extend of antenna cable, and a yagi antenna; as it is better for reception. If your TV screen size is 14" or below, a small wire of length 2 mteres or so is enough. Buy one Balun coil assembly fro electronic sparepart shop, and connect this wire to it, connect it to the antenna socket at the back of the TV, and with picutre just wave it to some side where you get the maximum picutre clarity.
If you TV screen size is more than 14 inches, external yagi antenna shoud be used for claear transmission reception, and it must be directed well towards the tranmitter also. Alaingning it is a trial and error process, at which position you gets the clearest picture, without any Ghosts. OK.

I can't get any stations, and there's no place to put an antenna. How do I get stations?

If this is a normal type of television & not a monitor only type, then it will have an antenna connection. Have a look at the back of the TV for a round silver type of socket that has a smaller round hole in its middle, this is the antenna socket. Connect your antenna into this & tune the TV. The only way would be to connect a video recorder or to the TV by way of a scart & then connect the antenna into the video & use the VCR as the tuning receiver.

Sirius satellite radio

You will need to get another sat antenna, and locate it somewhere either above the camper, or where the camper does not obstruct the antenna. Any store that sells sat radio equipment (Fry's, Best Buy, etc) will have the micro antenna. Install it either on the hood of the truck, or on top of the camper. You will need to run the antenna to the rear of the dash. They make Y couplers that will allow you to run both the OEM antenna and the extermal antenna at the same time, and it will not hurt the system to have both wired in at the same time.
