I have aCompac C700 thetelephones went down and now I don't have sound

To be exact there are six models of Compaq C700 laptop. to identify the model, turn you laptop upside down and read the details on the sticker.

as long as you have the ports for it yes, are you trying wireless, or a wired connection? depending on how old or new your laptop is you may be able to connect the telephone line right into your laptop, although that would be dial up and very slow so i would recommend using a cat5 cable aka normal internet cable

there are several models in the C700 series. select what you model you have from the link. then select the OS you have. it will give your drivers to download

You may also look for a key with letters on them in the same color as the Fn key. You want to find the key with a speaker and a line through it. Press and hold the Fn+the key together. This mutes and unmutes your speakers. There is also keys for volume up and down, usually page up and page down, press and hold the Fn key plus the volume up key. There should be an onscreen display of the volume increase. Does this resolve your problem?

i want sound driver of c700.

There are 4 volume controls to access them press MENU.

You should see “MACHINE SETTING?” if not use the SET arrows to scroll through the different menus, stop when you see “MACHINE SETTING?” Now press the SET button.

Now use the up & down arrows to get to
Buzzer Volume = that the machine beeps
SET
Key volume = the tone that sounds when you press keys on the control pad
SET
Alarm volume = the alarm if something happens.
SET
Line volume = sets the level you hear at the fax is actively transferring a fax.

If you want to change any of the settings, press the up or down arrows to the level you like best and press SET if you don’t what to change that item just press SET. When you have adjusted all levels the way you want them press STOP and the levels will be remembered.

The most annoying sound to most people in the Line Volume. I have known people that like it as quiet as posable in thier work, but the problem is if you turn down the ALARM you won’t know when there is a problem. Many people like a little line volume so that they hear when they dial into a busy phone line, or if someone picks up the shared voice line.
