SOURCE: GE Oven JKP26GP2 getting F2 error, even when not

F2 usually means the temp sensor is not working. here is a link to "F" codes.
http://www.repairclinic.com/0078.asp#JennAir
It has many manufacturers listed,so scroll to the GE ones.
The reason it beeps when not in use is b/c the EOC is reading the error in the part.

Good Luck!

SOURCE: GE True Temp oven won't turn off.

The sensor is a part number WB23T10002 and goes for about $60. The paper inside the control area of the oven will state the normal resistance values of it. (probably about 1080 ohms at room temp, about 2650 at clean temp.) If you cut a lead to it, you would just get a F3 code, and if you cut the other and wire them together, just get a F4 code, so that wouldn't help diagnose the problem, but if you could use an ohm meter on the probe it would. BUT the oven should not come on without it being set to bake, SO I conclude that the ERC is indeed the problem (with the welded electrical contacts), which is a part number WB50T10043 which might go for about $125 or so. If you are careful when you replace it, you can probably peal the faceplate (part # WB27T10125) off and reuse it, so you should just need the ERC.

I recently ran the self-clean option on my GE Profile JK955B0F5BB. Now when I set the touch pad to 350 degrees or more, the oven heats up to beyond 500.

That is not a valid model number, the issue is most likely the thermostat has failed. The part is about 12 dollars.

Bottom oven doesn't heat after running self-clean cycle

Usually, when an oven won't heat, it's because the bake element is burned out. The bake element is the black, pencil- thick tube at the bottom of the oven. When the oven heats, the element glows red. This element has an expected life-span of several years. It may last for only one; it may last for many more. When the element burns out, you need to replace it.

Had a similar problem. The overheat sensor had failed to the open position and the oven control would light up and you could set the temp, but it would drop to 100 degrees and then go blank.

jaz3133, it's probably the temp sensor that has gone bad. You should be able to get it from the front. It's the probe that comes out from the back wall of the oven. You can have someone ohm it out. Should read approx 1100 ohms at room temp. Part number for the temp sensor is WB20K5040. Make sure power is off befor removing the sensor. Catriver..post back.
