1998 Lincoln Mark VIII (8) FACTORY 10 Disc CD Changer will not play cd's

1998 Lincoln Mark VIII FACTORY 10 Disc CD Changer will not play cd'sHAS POWER, WON'T WORKHelp! Joe drford@danville.net or 217-474-3673Need repair or another unit I have been advised that it is a sony changer. Stereo in car is factory unit factory speakers and amp. No tunes. Not good...Needs to be fixed or replaced. Tried sticking in cd cleaners with the little brushes and blew out changer opening with compressed air as per suggestions from an installer here. but to no avail. Want to get thing fixed. well i don't have a 6 cd changer but i have had a few problems like that and all i can tell you is using something to unjam as soon as you hit the eject has been working just fine for me .......hope it helps a bit

SOURCE: Panasonic CD Changer with Pioneer reciever

Panasonic CD changers have a specific plug in that will not work with the Pioneer head unit. The Pioneer uses the IP-BUS plug. You will also not be able to convert the unit to work because the data between the two cannot be controlled and you won't have the ability to use the units together.

SOURCE: sony cdx-t69 CD Changer Unit

Bought a toyota with sony cd changer and had magazine stuck. Disconnected the cables at the back and left for 5 min. Hooked it back up switched to acc and pressed the eject button and came straight out. Didnt need to reset radio and retune.Now works fine.

How do I close the moon roof on my 94 Lincoln mark viii (8)? The switch is broken. Please help? I'm lost on this one.


Lost as in how?
You said the switch is broken. Replace it. Jump the correct terminals to close the roof!

Where is the lighter fuse located on the Lincoln Mark VIII?


Fuse #14 (light green) 30A Cigar Lighter, Cellular Phone, Power Point located in the passenger compartment fuse box.

buy a set of factory manuals used. There is not just one picture.
the fuse box in the driving area is in the owners manual. The engine compartment diagram is in a book called Mark VIII Electrical Vacuum and Troubleshooting Manual.
