If its electrical then the terminal in the motor is loose.if it is mechanical the problem is the spindle assy.

ensure the spool is not ended if so replace with new spool of string. also check the retaining screw in the middle is not too tight. undo it one click at a time to alow the spool to unwind when the motor runs
always disconnect your strimmer from the power when doing this also wear protective footware and long trousers, when using such tools.
