You need to check your water flow with the water flow gauge. The black disk should be between the min and max settings. If it is indicating a min reading, that is indicative of a problem with your pump and filter system and not the pool cleaner itself. You will need to check your pump to make sure that it is primed and operating correctly.

Vacuum has no suction

I would say that the best way to improve suction with any vacuum is to clean all the filters, If it is a Bagged sweeper check for holes and possible replace the bag. Hope this helps some!

Good Luck and Best Wishes!

It moves too slowly

If these automatic pool cleaners are moving slowly or sluggishly, first check to make sure that filter and strainer baskets are clean and not clogged. Make sure that the main drain and all suction lines are closed, except for the suction line to which your Kreepy Krauly is attached. Make sure there is not debris in the flapper than might be restricting movement. Also, and especially if you are noticing bubbles during slow movements, check for leaks. Make sure there are not leaks in the hose, vacuum connections, pump basket lids, etc.

My Dyson DC14 ANimal vacum cleaner has lost a lot of its suction, i have cleaned the regular filter but this does not seem to have improved it much. JAmie

Hi its Darran at Dyson.

A loss of suction is most likely caused by a blockage or a dirty filter. If you have cleaned the filter, it would be worth checking the machine through for a blockage by following the user guide or the diagnostics in the Support section on our website at www.dyson.com.

If you are still having difficulties with your Dyson, please contact our Helpline on 0800 298 0298 (UK) or 1866MYDYSON (US).

Kind regards

Problems with Dyson DC14 Animal Bagless Vacuum very little suction coming from the hose. cleaned filter and suction has not improved. Please help. Thanks

Two possible solutions come to mind. First off, there is a clog in your hose. If you have another vacuum, try using the hose on that one to **** it out.
If that doesn't work, you may need to have the clutch replaced. Check your warranty. The clog wont be covered, but the clutch will be,

I have a dyson dc 17 what is the best way to thourghly cleaning , so I can get better suction , also do you have a instruction manul to. I seem to have misplaced mine thanks

The first step towards improving the suction is to clean the circular HEPA filter. The filter also houses a circular sponge which should be rinsed and dried before putting it back. Check the HEPA filter to see if it needs replacement -- will look muddy! Another quick check is to remove the HEPA filter, run the vacuum cleaner momentarily in upright position to check if suction is restored at the hose end.

After doing this if suction is still poor or non existent, you should detach the transparent canister - a bit tricky since the release rod for the flap has to be aligned when you want to reassemble the unit.
Once the canister is removed, you should check and clean the center tube/shaft for any clogged dust (use a wire coat hanger if needed to pry out the dust). This tube gets clogged if the vacuum cleaner was used to pick up damp/wet spills etc.

Very little suction in hose no tears in hose

Hi there, SmartAlec from NelsonVacuums.com.au . I have fixed hundreds of Dyson DC07 vacuum cleaners over the last few years and i would say there are 2 possible causes for the loss of suction.
1st is that the filter looks clean but is actually worn anyway. The way to tell is remove the washable filter from your vacuum cleaner. Take out the foam insert this seems to last longer that the other part. Hold up the plastic cage to the light and look at the white part (well it used to be white anyway) you should be able to see light through it. If you cant see through it you need to replace it. Here is a link to that filter for purchase . To verify this is the problem just run the vacuum without the filter in you should see an improvement - note do not actually **** up material the filter is there for a good reason.
2nd problem is that you have a blockage in your radix assembly. If you take off the whole dirt bin and feel the suction on the upright part where the chamber joins the vacuum (basically bypassing the radix) if there is good suction here you will either need to replace the cyclone top or dismantle and clean it. (it is very difficult to clean as it doesn't completely dissassemble)
Hope this helps - If you want more help send me a message
HAPPY VACUUMING ! :)

My hoover upright has no suction, the brushes move but it doesn't pick anything up at all

Hi there...
I had the same problem. Checked for obstructions, cleaned the filters, etc.
I took out the rubber belt and noticed that it was much more stretched than the newer black belt.   I replaced it, and it made a 100 percent improvement on the suction.
Your vaccuum should have come with a postcard that allows you to mail in belts for new ones. You'll get two new ones in the mail, and they are free for life.  Just keep mailing in the old broken or stretched out ones.
Hope that works!
