I tried to follow the above instructions but failed to carry them out. In the end I telephoned Garmin International and had a 54 minute telephone conversation with a very patient and knowledgeable lady called Kerrie. She took me through all the processes that I needed which weren't clear in any guidance notes attached to my recent Garmin 1410 Sat Nav.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Bought a garmin sat nav and was told 2 register it 2 get updated maps! how do i register it?

Details on how to register and update your maps is at http://www.fixya.com/support/r5628920-update_garmin_satnav_maps.

If a new map comes out within 60 days of the first time you access satellites with your satnav you'll be entitled to the update free. Otherwise you'll have to pay for it.

The satnav must already have been registered. If you have forgotten the username and password the only solution is to contact Garmin support. Their contact details are at http://www.garmin.com/garmin/cms/home/support/supportcontact

Garmin 660 sat nav

I would take it back and demand a new one or replacement one. Some how someone must of you your serial number to register there, and now garmin seem to think that yours is stolen. Even though it is not. Garmin will lock the unit if a product gets, stolen and if someone else will try to update.
