That problem is usually covered under a recall manufacturer defect. Go to Sonyesupport.com put in model# and create a repair tag. The parts will be replaced at no charge. Hope this helps.

Problems with the LCD screen are usually the result of dropping the camera or water in the screen, and very rarely consistent flaws that warrant a recall. If your camera is still under warranty, however, you will most likely be able to get this fixed free of charge.

Upon newly purchased, vertical lines appearing intermittently with blurred images, puzzy or color changed every picture, very baddddd model, them!!! cost of lens is more than new, so why buy sony cam...

Hi,

This is a common problem. Check the previous images saved. If even the saved images/video's looked blurred, this confirms defective LCD screen. If saved images are fine, then this is highly suggestive of faulty CCD sensor.

If that is LCD screen, it could be an expensive deal to get it replaced as compared to the cost of the product. However, if it is CCD sensor, you could contact Sony and see, if there is any recall for it as in the past, there were certain recalls due to CCD sensor. However, as this is pretty new and under warranty, get it replaced/repaired ASAP.

Hi!
It's a faulty CCD - a very common problem with the T1. You can buy the CCD at

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-SONY-DSC-T1-T1-CCD-IMAGER-UNIT-PROBLEM-REPAIR-FIX_W0QQitemZ320433162659QQcmdZViewItemQQptZDigital_Camera_Accessories?hash=item4a9b4e09a3&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14

and replace it yourself - it's not hard to do so.
