Question about Garden
I would go ahead and put a new fuel filter in it.Remove float bowl and make sure no small particles are hanging float up. Check the vent hole on gas cap and clean if needed. Check clean or replace air filter. I also would drain fuel through system while float cover is off and dispose of it.I would close neddle vales all the way and note position and number of turns to close. Then remove neddle valves and let a small amount of gas run through them. Put valves back in and try to get back as close to where they were.I would also run more carb cleaner thru it and hopefully get and dirt or rust particles cleaned out. Thank you.

I think the fact that you ran out of gas is your problem. There's probably sediment from the tank plugging the jet in the carburetor. If you don't want to take the carb apart, try putting more of the carb cleaner in and running it to flush it out. If that doesn't work, you might have to rebuild the carb.
Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up. Thanks,
