Question about Nintendo 64 Console

How do I access the memory card (pack)?

I wanted to access the memory pack for my son to delete some data and make room for a new game, but it seems like I am unable to find it.

It says: "Go to Memory Pack Manager" to clear data and make room.

But where is that? How do I access the memory pack?

Help!

Greetings,
The way to access the data on an n64 memory card is to plug it in to the controller, hold down the start button on the controller and turn on the system. Then you should be able to delete the data from the menu that comes up. Hope I was not to late with the info.

If you asking if you can delete information off of a N64 Expansion Pak, the answer for that is no. The Expansion pack is literally ROM (read only memory) data, and is like an expansion pack for WOW, or Microsoft Flight Simulator, you can install the expansion, but it's not something you can pick and choose what you install, its either all or none.

Now you CAN delete information off of the N64 Memory Pak, which is the memory card that gets inserted into the controller. Here is a link that will tell you how to do this step by step.

I have a play station 2 and I like to play Crash Bandicoot 2.Gortex strikes back, but the memory card won't work is this because it is a play station 2 memory card. thank you John.

First, check to see if your memory card has any room on it by turning on your PS2 while there is no game in the machine. Select your memory card, and see how many blocks are left on it, then see how many blocks are required to save Crash Bandicoot 2 games (should tell you on the game's box).

If there isn't enough room, delete some saves to make room.

If there is room, or you cannot view the saved data on your memory card then try putting it in the other slot. If putting it in the other slot does not fix the problem then your card is either damaged or the data is corrupted. In either case, you will simply need to use a different memory card.

On pokemon XD it keeps saying that the save file currupts I have alot of room on it but it still crrupts so what do I do to fix this

  • Fully Corrupt:
When the entire save area of the Memory Card becomes corrupt, the system will inform the player that the Memory Card is corrupt and offer to format it. The card must be formatted before gameplay begins or when the game attempts to access the Memory Card. The exact message may vary from software to software.
Follow the steps for formatting a memory card.

  • Suggestion: It is always a good idea to copy your most important files to a second Memory Card as a back-up.

  • Data Area Only Corrupt:
When only the data area of a Memory Card is corrupt (not the entire Memory Card) the game may not detect this until the Memory Card is accessed. Once it is accessed, the game will inform the player that the file being accessed is corrupt and must be erased. The game will only delete the one file being accessed and will not format the entire Memory Card (Other saved game files on the Memory Card may be OK).
Follow the steps for deleting a file.

  • Memory Card is Damaged:
If the Memory Card has been physically damaged, or has been damaged beyond repair, you will get this message. The Memory Card will need to be replaced. The system may attempt to format the card, but if it cannot it will give the error Memory Card is Damaged. There is no way to recover the game data from the memory card.

This procedure is only used if a corrupted Memory Card is inserted into the Nintendo GameCube.
If required, this procedure will begin automatically when you select "Memory Card Screen" from the main menu. You cannot use this procedure to erase files from a useable Memory Card.
  1. After selecting "Memory Card Screen" from the Main Menu, if your Memory Card requires formatting, a window will appear to ask for confirmation for formatting.
  2. Use the Control Stick to select "YES" and press the A Button
  3. A window will appear to notify you that all data will be erased and ask again for confirmation for formatting.
  4. Use the Control Stick to select "YES" and press the A Button.
NOTE: When you format a Memory Card, all data will be permanently erased and unable to be recovered.

Memory Card Corrupted

you cannot save another file until you delete previous one.Corruption occurs if the memory card is removed from console or if you reset the game while saving or loading game remember this also happens when you are saving or loading game and electricity turns off.

Memory card

it could be a glitch in the memory card, because a similar problem happen with my gamecube memory card and when i save data on it, it won't keep the data so i don't use it anymore. so a solution could be to buy 2 new memory cards and save the same data on both so if one has the same problem, you have backup data. if that solution does not work it could be the games or the console.
