the problem persists, due to the external software used by the Player, usually either codecs or drivers for your computer hardware, may not be working correctly. Some codecs can introduce instability with programs such as the Player, or with your computer in general.

You can try cleaning the laser with a dry q-tip.

If that doesn't work, try booting a copy of Windows that was burnt to dvd or Ubuntu burnt to dvd.

Let me know what happens.

We have a error the error code is 0xcood1199

you've got this error because you are playing file that is not supported to your windows media player. try to play it with other media player just live VLC player, Real Player, or DVD Player or try to convert the file using a conversion program and convert it to wmv or any known media player that windows media player can support.

If you turn off the computer and remove the ribbon cable to the DVD play then at both ends the reinstall it. This works in some cases the error code you have means it cant read the IDE

Error code 0122 when trying to play blue ray disk on hdtv through hdmi cable

Hy guys

I had this problem earlier on today and after much searching found a solution that worked for me.

This error message relates to piracy issues. If you are running 2 screens at once (laptop monitor and HD TV) I guess it's seen as an easy way to pirate DVD's, Blu-rays etc.

Go into your graphics card settings (i think I did this in the end by adusting screen resolution (was hungover, there's probably a quicker way - this gave me access to my ATI graphics card settings). you should be given an option of taking your HD TV as the primary monitor and disabling the built in monitor.

This should resolve the conflict that caused the 0122 error message - there are no longer 2 monitors, I guess making it harder for the pirates to comoplete their dastardly deeds - aaaarrrr.

I hope this helps some peeps out - thought I'd return the favour for my own various questions.

In trying to play a DVD disk in my Mac OS X I get an error code -36. What does this mean? Where may I get a list of Mac Error Codes defined and explained as well as to what to do about a specific error...

It looks like error 36 is an I/O error usually indicating a hardware problem. Is the hard drive full or less then 1gb left of storage on this system? You want to keep at least 15-20% free on your HD.

have you tried

reinstalling the driver?

using a different dvd. (might be a different regonal setting.

check device manager for any problems also double click on your cd device in the device manager and see if there is an error code 41. very common this is a registry conflict easy to fix.

let me know how things go.
