Hi.
try to check your ram first,{ use eraser to rub the surface of copper }
If possible, use a new ram or a berfungsi100% to do troubleshooting.

Laptop computer start up to long

This sounds more like other problems on your system, which may also involve corrupt registry data, or potential virus.
It should never take that long to start up, nor should you allow it to. If it is, just press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to force the computer to shut down. Then restart. If this happens again, then it's potentially a bigger problem.
I would recommend using a trusted scanner and optimization software. I personally use AVG PC Tune-Up to keep my system optimized and my registry clean, at least twice a week. It speeds up my system and keeps things clean in my registry that makes booting up and shutting down much quicker. Plus, the system ends up running a lot more smoothly.

Error 0175: Bad CRC1, stop post task

Hi,

ERROR
0175: BAD CRC1, STOP POST TASK.

Firstly, this error is generated due to a couple of different reasons. First, there may actually be a problem with the power circuitry and the CRC function is actually doing it's job reporting the error. There are several tests you can perform to tell if this is the case with your system.

Secondly, this bad CRC error can be generated by sudden power loss to the system, especially if the system loses power during boot up or POST process. Both mean that there could be a problem with the motherboard and it needs replacing.

Try the steps below to determine what is wrong.

1) Start the system and watch the status lights in the LCD hinge or near the power button. They should flash once (some models twice) before the system shows a display. If they flash 3 times or more, you have a power problem.

2) Start the system and allow it to reach the CRC "stop post task" error message. Let it sit at this error for several hours. The system should sit at this error for ever or until user intervention occurs.

3) Some things to watch for while the system is sitting at the CRC error and running for several hours would be: Screen going black, System rebooting, System powering off, ect.. ect.. ANY activity by the system is a warning that power problems exist in the system.

4) Try restarting the system several times consecutively, shut the system down by holding the power button for 5 seconds, then restart keeping an eye on the status lights for any additional flickers.
All the above tests should be done with AC power applied and battery installed. Also ALL drives installed.

Regards.

My Dell XPS M 15so will not start

If you have the installation discs I'd suggest booting into them or the recovery partition by pressing F12 and either selecting CD/DVD ROM or Recovery Partition.

Once in there make sure to select Repair your Installation by pressing R and continue once you get into the Command Prompt to run a check disk scan. To do this simply type chkdsk /r. This will compare the Windows files on your system with the files on the disc to ensure they are the same and not corrupted.

After that upon reboot you should be able to boot. Good luck!

Needs to be pluged in to boot, but will run 1 hour plus on battery after boot. Lights come on, fan blows the it sits, no acivity. From that state plug in power, video and hard drive start to normal...

sounds like a bad battery, it takes more power to start then run, and once running windows will adjust power usage based on availability. If the amperage of the battery is insufficient the laptop will turn on but won't boot

HP 550 Note book will not start

  1. Take out your battery and the power button for about 60secs.
  2. Start the laptop using the Adapter [without the battery]
  3. Lighten up your laptop...remove any external device attached [printer, scanner, pen drives etc.].
  4. It could also be a RAM problem, try changing the RAM if you have two start with one and exchange them.
After that when the system starts you can do the system restore START--ALL PROGRAMS--ACCESSORIES--SYSTEM TOOLS--SYSTEM RESTORE to restore it back to an earlier date when laptop was ok. THEN LATER ON PUT THE BATTERY BACK IN.
  • Try restarting after an hour gap.
  • If this doesn't solve your problem call the company people.Their might be a Video Card problem or any other internal hardware problem.

Trying to start hp pavilion dv5000 (dv9628nr) it wont start boot page, it just switches off and on for a few seconds at a time. Will do a system restore if i can ever get it to boot up. Any suggestions?

Possibly a power issue? Try booting up with the power supply connected; you can even start up without the battery power connected to the computer, just the ac power supply. It could be a battery issue...hope you find a solution soon.

Sometimes it will come on and freeze in starting xp other times i just get black screen

- If the system can still boot to safemode w/ networking try to download some third party tools to check if the system is infected of virus.
- If the system wont even boot to safemode or freeze under safemode try to do windows repair.
- If this will not help you, try to back-up data using a third party vendor and do clean reinstall or you can also try running diagnostic test to check hardware issue.
