Motor won't spin, with flashing "End" light and 3 beeps
Mine broke last week. No matter which programme I chose, the drum just not turning. It does water intaking, then drain the water, with the "End" light flashing, and makes 3 beeps, repeatly. I thought it would be the brushes, since the drain pump is working, only the motor is not spinning. Took a brush out and found it has loads left, which means it is not the brushes then.
Any thoughts? Please, I desperately need help in fixing this machine! Thank you guys!

Could be several reasons:
- Selected the "Night cycle" program (means standing with the drum full of water, reason: too much noise in the spin cycle)
- Set to the "Rinse hold" (means standing with the drum full of water, reason: wrinkles on the clothes)
According to your description I think that this is not a failure otherwise error E20 will be appears on display.
Once the washing programme has come to an end, END illuminates on the programme progress display.
If RINSE HOLD was selected, the display beside the START/ PAUSE button flashes. 1. After a rinse hold, the water must first be pumped out:
- Either press the START/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out and the washing is spun according to the completed programme;
After the START/PAUSE button is pressed again, the spin speed can still also be changed during spinning), or
- Turn the programme selector to PUMP OUT and press the START/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out without spinning),or
- Turn the programme selector to SPIN or SHORT SPIN and press theSTART/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out and the washing is spun or gently spun).
At the end of this programme step, the END indicator will illuminate. 2. Open the door.
As soon as the DOOR indicator lights up green, the door can be opened.
have you checked the motor brushes there are 2 of them they are located on each side of the motor you will have to take the motor off and you will see them at the back of the motor undo the 2 screws on each one and take out the carbons should be 25m long and shinny and spring in and out freely I can supply new ones if you need them
Hi - I will tell you whats wrong with the machine, but you will need to get someone familiar with Miele equipment to fix it for you.
On this particular series - Rinse LED flashing means 3 - 4 things could be wrong with the washer.
Tacho - generator is faulty
Drive fault - electrical problem
Motor - has issues with starting
Blockage - drains - drive unit
Restrictions - of the drum turning.
Electronics - may be a component with an intermittent failure/decay.
It would be either one of the above or a combination of 1 or the other...
mine does this ..alot. its usually limescale buildup or other obstruction in the connector to the drainage pipe under the sink. One time it was limescale in the main filter down on the bottom righthand side. a real pig to get out and to clean!
Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x
we had something similar happen just before christmas. Our machine seemed to finish a cycle and started making beeping noise with end light flashing. Then when I switched it back on to do another load it just started beeping with end light flashing no matter what cycle was selected. Engineer has been out and advised that it is a fault with the motherboard so has ordered another one. Hope this is of some help. Machine was tricity bendix aw1400w.
