Question about Smeg 18 in. DWF410SS Slim-Line Free-standing Dishwasher

Hi, I have a SMEG slimline dishwasher (model UKSTX4-1), and need to repalce the lower spray arm support duct. I was wondering how to remove the existing one? Do you need to access a locking nut from underneath?

    Hi,

It's not the lower spay arm itself I need to remove, it's the connector (duct) that it fits into on the floor of the dishwasher. Once I remove the spay arms, it looks as if the duct should unscrew but I can't shift it to put the new one in

The model in the video is not the same dishwasher I have, the arm swings from back to back while rotating. I can remove the arm but not the duct it slots into

I believe on this model there is a locking tab near where it mounts down to the pump area, check for a tab under the arm that feeds the wash arm

Thanks for rejecting the solution....anyways to remove the spray arm you have to remove the nut....I know in the video the model was not SMEG but it was given to you as an example on how its done. After the nut is removed lift up the spray arm to remove it.

I have a whirlpool gold dishwasher model Quiet Partner 3. The top rack is not cleaning the dishes very well. We live in the country and have hard water. I am wondering if there could be a buildup of some...

if it is just affecting the upper rack i doubt it is just a plugged spray arm (though i could be wrong). more likely than not you have a blockage on the intake of your spray pump motor. a series of bones, toothpicks, foreign material, etc could be blocking the entrance of the pump causing it to starve for water so to speak.
you will more than likely need to remove the lower rack and spray arm to be able to disassemble the strainer and gain access to the sump.
a complete model number would help bunches to.. alas

Top spray not functioning in dishwasher

The top rack is not cleaning because of low water pressure from the wash motor to the upper spray arm.
Assuming the top spray arms are clear of debris, remove the lower spray arm and lower feed tube to access the wash motor. Remove the 4 torx screws and the filter (accumulator assembly). Remove the torx screw and the inlet protector that covers the chopper assembly. Make sure the chopper is not broken (broken chopper will fill with debris and block water flow). While holding the chopper blade, reach inside the "D" shaped opening on top of the motor and spin the wheel/motor by hand in each direction to make sure either the chopper gear or the motor gear that drives the chopper is not broken. Replace the chopper if necessary (part # 8268383). If the motor gear is broken, replace the sump and motor assembly (part # 8535150). Remove any debris from the sump area in the process.
You don't have to shut the power off to the dishwasher because the door will be open, but if you feel more comfortable, do so.
Good luck!
