Hi,

I owe this solution to one of our experts, Seldemseen: "there is a O-ring seal between the heater and water feed...U have to remove apprx 8 allen screws on the top of the heater plate, remove the wiring connectors from the heating element and overload sensors and the heater plate romoves from the attached bottom plate. The seal is located on the center nipple and is apprx 1/8" round."

He replaced his seal with one from his local hardware store.

Good luck to you,

I hope this helps. If it did, I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up. Thanks,

Handie Andie

You could avoid this problem by flashing water out without any capsule in. In anycase is a simple problem, you need to disasemble the machine and remove the head shower and wash it from dry coffee liquid which is blocked all the showers holes.

Causes:1- the 130 deg thermostat is open. 2- working thermostat, 104 deg, defective, allowing temp to rise.3- the machine becomes hot because the water valve is stock open. machine needs to be sealed so not to allow water to boil.Water boils at 100 deg Celsius. 4- valvolino or o-rings are worn out and leaking. You need a repair shop.

Can't get a full cup of coffee

First, you should not be using your espresso machine as an american coffee maker. It puts way too much pressure on the components of the machine. The standard cartridges are made to do 1.5 - 3.0 ounces of espresso. should you want to make a longer cup of coffee you need to get the aroma point gran caffe cartridges, lavazza code 427. this will enable you too get the longer cup of coffee without putting the added stress on your machine. Also it sounds like your machine mighy have a problem with the volumetric device. are you getting water in the capsule ejection drawer? should you want service you should call 781-393-2929. we are an authorized lavazza distributor and repair center.
