How to stop norton from preventing me to attach images on yahoomail

Yahoo Mail is a Web-based email program that is provided for free by Yahoo. Anyone can sign up for the service to send and receive emails from friends and family. Yahoo places restrictions on the and type of attachments that can be sent and received when using Yahoo Mail. Any email attachment that contains a virus, is too large or doesn't meet the file type requirements may be blocked by Yahoo.

Virus Scanner b> Yahoo Mail scans each attachment that arrives or departs from your inbox with Norton AntiVirus. If the virus scanning software detects a virus within an attachment, Yahoo will warn you and attempt to clean it. Yahoo does not promise that every virus will be detected or cleaned by the Norton AntiVirus software. Only accept attachments from people you know and trust. Don't attempt to open blocked attachments if it is known to harbor a virus. Large Attachments b> Attachments exceeding 25 megabytes will not attach to an email. Multiple attachments that exceed 25 megabytes will also be blocked by Yahoo Mail. Once your attachments reach 25 megabytes, you will no longer be able to add any additional attachments. If you have many attachments to send that exceed 25 megabytes, send several emails to send all of the attachments. If you are receiving attachments, let the sender know that you are unable to receive any attachments larger than 25 megabytes. Slow Connection Speed b> It may appear that Yahoo is blocking your attachments if you have a slow dial-up connection because they may never appear to load. Yahoo isn't actually blocking the attachment, the connection is just very slow. A 25 megabyte file could take over an hour to download with a 56K dial-up connection. Your computer may go to sleep or the download may be even slower if you surf the Web while your files upload. File Type b> Only certain file types can be sent using Yahoo Mail. Yahoo Mail allows you to add audio files, images, HTML files, word processing documents, spreadsheets and many other types of files as attachments. Some documents are not supported, but you can send unsupported file types by renaming them, including them in a RAR or ZIP archive, creating a Word document with the file, sending the file through Yahoo Messenger or you can upload the file elsewhere and send a link to the file via email.

I have a lexmark 464de mfp. How do i setup scan to e-mail on windows 7 on this network printer?

Multi-function printers cannot scan and then e-mail the scanned image. They can scan and then fax a document.
You need to scan the document, then save the scanned image, open your e-mail program and create the e-mail then attach the image file (file attachment) to the e-mail before you send the e-mail.

I mostly just veiw pictures on my computer and send them via email. The image mode on my camera is set at 4000 X 3000.Which is a size problem when I go to email them . Should I change the setting down on...

Always shoot at the largest size your camera can handle. When it's time to e-mail, just right-click on the picture file and from the menu that pops up, choose e-mail recipient. Another dialogue box will open up and give you the choice to send large, medium or small images. Choose one and your e-mail opens with your picture(s) attached and your originals untouched.

Sending photos as an e-mail attachment

When sending photos as e-mail attachments, the image (file) size should not be too large. Use the included image viewing program called Image Expert to save photos in reduced size. For instructions on installing Image Expert, see "Installing the image viewing program" on page 42 of the Instruction Manual. 1. Launch Image Expert. 2. Choose "Open Image" from the "File" menu. 3. Specify the image you want to reduce, then click "Open". If the camera is connected using the USB cable, it is displayed as a removable disc. images on the camera can be opened directly by specifying the remove-able disc. 4. Click on "Change Size" in the "Image" menu. 5. Input values at "Width" and "Height", then click "OK". If "Keep Aspect Ratio" is checked, the size is changed without changing the image’s vertical:horizontal ratio. 6. The image is displayed at its new size. 7. Click on "Save As" in the "File" menu to save the image with the new size.

In the "My Computer" window on your PC, select "Internet Options" in "Control Panel" and click "Programs". 2. Check that "Outlook Express" or Outlook" 2000" is displayed in the "E-mail" field.
