Question about Dishwashers

Open Question

I have a Fisher & Paykel dd03 stainless steel, it recently had the F1 alarm go off so i looked inside with a torch. the only thing i can see wrong is that a hose appears to have disconnected, its a small approx 8mm dia white hose. How can i remove the draw to see if this is in fact the problem.

F1 is a flood code meaning excessive amounts of water have collected on the bottom catch basin.
If a flood condition is detected, both draws will activate the drain motors and flash F1.
Remove the bottom drawer by pulling the lock pins on each lower side corner. Slide down and remove front cover. Release the drawer slide clips and remove drawer then dry the catch basin.
There are three possible scenarios for this error code;
1. Defective lid motor(s)...Each drawer has two lid motors, attached to the cabinet on either side of the drawer, that pull the lid tight to the drawer when the cycle is started. (this was very common on early models)
2. Something too tall was placed in the drawer preventing the lid from closing completely.
3. (only seen this once) the drain hose developed a crack causing water to leak only when draining.

SOURCE: blocked drainage hose in Fisher and Paykel top dishdrawer DD603

Hello there..
How do you know the hose is blocked at all? It's rare for that to happen, I work on these machines daily as I am a Factory Authorized tech. You need to be careful in your approach to this, that is an expensive machine and it can be damaged by improper service procedures.
For starters, there is a flap valve on the end of the drain hose that would prevent you from introducing any sort of pressure backwards into the machine via the drain hose. For example, if you took and tried to blow air thru the drain hose outlet end, you would force that flap closed and create pressure in the hose. Also putting caustic drain cleaning substances is very, very bad for your machine and can cause some serious damage.

I will be happy to try to assist you, but let's start at the begining, shall we? What prompted you to conclude that the drain hose is 90% blocked? The first thing you should do is take out the rack, wash arm and tha large stainless steel filter plate. Next, pull the rotor up and out of the pump base (none of these procedures require tools) and make sure the grey impeller is not "freewheeling" or has become detached from the rotor shaft. The blue wash impeller on the top and the grey drain impeller on the bottom must be "one to one" meaning they are firmly connected to the shaft of the motor and turn together.
Next, check the tube or passageway in the drawer between the sump (where that small removeable filter screen is) and the pump's sump area (where you pulled up the rotor)
If you have any blockage, it will be in that tube.

There is some glitch here where I do not get notified of response to questions, so I will check back to this post.

Our F & P dishdrawer keeps coming up with f1 and a picture of a spanner have tried turning the machine of at the switch for 24hr but is still doing it

Water has collected at the base of the dishwasher under the drawer.
This triggers a flood switch and causes the F1 error.

Turn the mains power off and extend the drawer out as much as possible. Take towels to dry the base from inside. Also use hair dryer ot dry out the flood switch mounted at the base.

Turn the power on and see if there is any difference. The cause of water collection could be many. Foam in detergent or kink in drain hose or drawer door gasket leaking etc.

My Fisher & Paykel DD 603 has the fault code

Check at bottom housing both top and bottom drawers for leaks.
Pull the tube out, on the left side below the tub you can access to touch the bottom housing. Dry it out with a tower. Un plug the power cord at least 24 hor so the flood sensor can be dried out before pluggin it back.
However, if you don't fix this leak, the sam F1 problem will happen again.
There is not much clogging up in filter. If you expect something clogged up, you have to take the spraying arm off then take out the bottom stainless steel with a lot of holes out to see the impeller clean or not. Good luck.

Not heating in fan forced mode

Possibly your fan element has blown. Try and take the cover off that coves the fan inside the oven itself and use a torch to look at the element to see if it looks out of shape etc.
