Disconnect vent tube and run a load of clothes, as it sounds like the vent tube is restricted. if that does not help then you will need to clean the dryer from the lint screen to the back of the dryers vent, where you hook up the vent tube. Hope this helped Tim

Taking to long to dry clothes

How long does it take you to dry your clothes? Normally, it takes 50 minutes (1 cycle) to 1.5 hours to completely dry clothes. However, if it's taking you at least 3 cycles (probably 2.5 to 3 hours) to dry a single batch of clothes, then, there might be a problem with your dryer's igniter.

The clothes wont dry till 4 hours. it take 5 hours to dry clothes. how i can improve the drying system?

Hi,

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have nottaken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then youneed to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should takeplace. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causesfor your dryer to fail.

My speed queen dryer (model 170) is over heating. Clothes are extremely hot to the touch and wrinkled.

check the dryer vent to make sure nothing is blocking it, Hot clothes and wetness is usually caused by venting problems,, if the moisture and air can't leave,, you end up with your problem

The dryer produces less heat and therefore takes too long to dry clothes

Hello egines. Generally the first thing to check is the vent pipe. If the pipe has lint in it, you will get a very long drying time. Pull the machine out from the wall, disconnect the vent pipe and inspect the inside of the pipe, the inside of the rear of the dryer where the pipe entered and the outdoor component. Remove all lint. Also make sure that the vent pipe is not kinked.
