I do not want to sound patronizing, but I have no idea how much you know about wiring ... so I'm probably going to over-explain everything. Hopefully it won't read like stereo instructions ... ha ha ha
Depending on your TV, theremight be a door covering the wire access .. or there might be audio outputs on the front of your TV ... but these are more likely to be inputs for game consoles and other things. You should have a red and a white jack in the back of your TV marked "Audio Out" ... those are left and right audio outputs from your TV. Use RCA cables from Radio Shack or wherever and connect that to your amp left and right audio inputs -- the RCA jacks should be the same color as the wire connecting them, which makes it easier to trace wires later. Generally, the amp should have a red and a white RCA jack as well .. make sure they match your wires , too ... or you'll end up hearing things in reverse. You should find sterio wire inputs on the back of your amp -- if your speakers have the wire connected, set them up and then plug them into the appropriate jacks. There shoud be some sort of lever on the side of each of thee jacks, push it open and insert the wires. Some of these are spring-loaded so you might have to keep your finger on it to hold it open. Just put a bare cord from the speaker into it, and make sure the lever closes again, securing the wire. Your amp should have the left and right speaker outputs, subwoffer output, and everything labeled, but you'll probably need a lot of light on it to see it (usually it is just a recessed or relief letter L and R for the left and right speakers.
I am not exactly well off, so most of the electronics I have are a bit old. You might only have a different audio output from your television, in which case I would recommend speaking with someone at Radio Shack -- they tend to know a lot about wiring electronics together (more than at Best Buy or other big-box stores) or if you don't have one of those around, find a local electronics store, or a pawn shop ... people who work in these types of places usually enjoy the challenge of putting a round plug into a square jack.

Sorry that I couldn't help ... the settings changes will vary from TV to TV ... there should be some sort of menu options that you can access with the remote control ... but I really don't know where the specific menu is. There should be some sort of guide for it in the user's manual if you still have it. If not, you should be able to take your model number and go to the store where you bought the TV and they can direct you. Wish I could be more help ... good luck! :-)

Connecting tv external speakers

If you connected R/W RCA cables to the AUDIO OUT RCA jacks on the rear of the TV and connected the other ends to the TV AUDIO IN jacks on the receiver, you should be able to select an input on the receiver that will deliver sound to the Bose speakers. If you went to TV setup and selected external speakers, you directed output from the TV amplifier to external speakers which is not what you want.

Kdl-32v4000 sound

Check the speaker first. Check if there is any sound output comes from the audio out terminals at the back of the TV, by connecting them to any external audio out devices; such as an amplifier or so. If there is audio output comes from the external source such connected, and no audio output from the TV; since the speakers are good, the fault is with the audio output section circuit inside the TV. If there is no audio output from the external sources too, the fault is with the audio processing section circuit at the main board. If this is the case, main board is faulty, and should be replaced.

Sony BRAVIA KDL-40V2500 audio not working

I would Google the model number carefully for "problems" "no sound" and usually this set will display some kind of error code===it may even have a hard reset to try===service manuals are available on the net/web to allow you to see how the sound circuit is set up etc.

Pioneer vsx-515 trying to connect to sony bravia lcd tv and wharfedales speakers with 12'cube sub... any wireing diagrames please? I do have an optical wire to has have been told they...

Optical is the clearest information you can get.
Its pure light!!!!

Sony bravia has a optical out, plug that into optical in on your Receiver.
reciever should have a dedicated sub woofer lead out.
obviously goes to the subwoofer

then just your speakers, i'm assuming you know to match wire colour of speakers to colour of the rear of your reciever. that is red to red, black to black??

If by chance your wires are not red and black, red is positive on your receiver, black is negative.

The receiver outputs for speakers will be written so you know which two outputs(red and black) go to which speaker.

Make sure you match positve to positive and negative to negative, otherwise your speakers will
sound real dull and you won't know why.

Hope that helps.

Connecting speakers.

The speakers cannot be connected directly to the audio outputs. These outputs are for use with an external amplifier. Connecting speakers directly to these audio outputs can cause damage to the set. Thanks

How do i hook external speakers to sony bravia television

The proper way to do this would be to use the audio output from the TV, either analogue left and right or the optical port, and send it into an dedicated amplifier or AV receiver. You can then use the amplifier or receiver to power the external speakers. If you are using a dedicated amplifier with no volume control you will want to change the audio output setting on the TV to "variable out" as oppose to its current "fixed out"settings. You can find this in the TV menu, usually under the audio settings. This will allow you to use the current TV remote to adjust the audio volume coming out of the external speakers.
