Question about Canon i-SENSYS MF4660PL - 1827B021AA - - Inkjet All in One Printer

Open Question

My printer gives me this mssg: "paper jam pls..." since he takes the paper and after the paper reaches the heat sink gives me the mssg above I understand that it should be o sensor problem and I have opened the case and looked for those sensors thinking that one could be blocked out. It seems that all the sensors are working though I think it is a main board sensor reader problem or some controller...

SOURCE: Pixma mp810 paper jam?

Go inside the unit, the jam is most likely to be a very small torn shred of paper, near the carriage roller or similar. Us ea torch if the room is not bright enough, this helps fing it.

SOURCE: paper jam

I had this problem the other day. I turned out that I had a small bit of polystyrene foam had got trapped just before the white plastic rollers you can see in front of the toner sponge where the cartridge head runs when you lift the lid to change ink.

I discovered it by noting that on power-up these rollers turn as if to feed paper back into the paper feeder (i.e. "backwards through the printer"), so I tried to see if I could get a sheet to feed backwards and noticed something was trying to stop the right-hand side of the paper feeding in. Soon after I noticed the bit of foam through the right-hand side slot in the white plastic section above the roller. A quick removal with small tweezers et viola!

When printing an error "13" appear. what is the cause of the error and what could be the posiible solution. pls advise. thanks

Its a paper jam error. Check your printer properly, even a tiny piece of paper can make it to give error 13.

My printer gives an error message "paper jam" when there isn't any jam

Paper is nearly always sensed with little, black levers that are pushed out of the way as the paper passes over it. Inkjet printers normally have just one sensor, while laser printers often have three to localize a jam in the paper path. Take out the paper and drum/toner assemblies and look carefully for the levers. See if they wiggle freely. Since they must be delicate enough to be pushed aside by a sheet of paper, it doesn't take much dust to stick one down, giving a false jam reading. A little wiggling and blowing might fix it.

Hello, printer(esp5250) showing this mssg: "printer error. remove access cover. clear all paper. attach cover. press ok to continue. " done this about 15 times even tho there is no trapped paper....

There can be a piece of paper left <broken> somewhere between the gears inside the printer.
Try to partial dismantle the printer <remove the covers> and look inside, maybe you will see that piece of paper.

E3 code error mssg on printer MP160

As you will probably know E 3 on Pixma is paper jam.

Double check that there is no paper inside, and turn printer upside down shaking it a bit to check if there is any small foreign object (screws, pins, coins etc.) stuck inside.

When there is no jam in the paper path, this problem is typically caused by a broken part in the paper feed mechanism, in the page unit.
The paper feeding mechanism has two white plastic gears connected together with a central spring, near to the waste ink tank, at the bottom of the printer.
This are quite delicate, they often get stuck or boken, or you lose the spring, and the printer stays stuck with E3 error.
