When I switch on my PSP, it directly goes onto load the UMD game and when I try to quit using HOME button, the buttons and consoles dont work. Then I need to use the hold button after which though the...

Hi. Since you're in UMD Autoload mode, you need to configure that in the PSP Settings. To do this, turn off your PSP and remove your UMD. Now, turn it back on and it won't autoload your UMD since it wasn't there anymore.
Now, go to "Settings" and scroll down to "System Settings" and press X. Scroll down again the selection until you see "UMD Auto-Start" and press X. At the right side will appear the options "ON" and "OFF". Select "OFF" and press O button several times to go back to main screen.
Insert your UMD. Now, try playing games from Memory Stick. You may have to turn off your PSP and turn it on again to finally play homebrew...
I hope this helps...

Memory stick games not working. When i press button on it, the logo appear but it will stay freeze.

First of all, there is no way you can run games off the memory stick. It has been confirmed by several websites that psp hackers are able to extract the whole PSP game onto the computer and burn an ISO to CD/DVD. To answer your question, even though the PSP games are in ISO format, they are non-playable on a memory stick because the PSP checks for a boot file normally from a UMD disc the memory stick doesn't have. click here to download repair guide

How do i put games on my memory stick and how do i put theem on roms (umd)

First you need to modify your PsP ... You will need a pandora's battery and a magic memory stick to do so. You can find these online or someone that can do it for you. Once you get the PsP downgraded to the proper firmware you can uplaod programs that can compress the umd games to ISO files that can be saved directly to your memory stick.

When i put games in my sons sony psp it doesnt read them

You should reformat the psp memory stick if the game is copied, but for the UMD, for M33 versions firmware, you press Select on your psp and select UMD instead of memory stick. You should press the select on other parts of your selections on your psp. Do not press other things such as saved data utility, etc.

PSP saving game

First to have games on your psp you have to have a program on your psp called umd dumper. you can find it on google by typing umd dumper and clicking on the first choice that comes up and then dowloading it.( before you continue here you must make sure your psp is downgraded, atleast vesion 3.11 or lower thats what i have. go to the file where you saved your download, double click and extract all the files from it. now connect your psp to your computer. now go to your downloaded folder and find two folder called umd dumper %%%%, copy and paste those to files on your psp that is still connected to your computer on a file called psp. now diconnect your psp and go to your game section on your psp and click on memorystick you might find two folders, umd dumper and corrupter file or just umd dumper, dont pay attention to the corrupted file. put a game in your psp and click the umd dumper, it will automatically start extracting files from your umd and put it on your memory stick ( make sure you have enough space on your memory stick depending on the game) after its done now connect the psp back to the computer and this time you will notice a new file with a umd picture on your folder, drag the umd folder and drop it in a folder called ISO, if you dont have a folder called ISO look on the internet on how you can get on on your psp. now when you are done diconnect it and go to your games section and on your memory stick you will have the game you just extracted. click on it and enjoy your game onyour memory stick..( if this information is not accurate enough you can go to, youtube.com and type umd dumper and watch some of the videos on there one of them might give you a better understanding)

Psp not saving or loading

Hi Spazza2,

Did yout try using the same UMD game your brother was using and see if the game format has anything to do with it?  Since you upgraded, the UMD game may be old, and might not work with Version 3.71. It sounds like your PSP is working just  fine other than that.
