My printer do not pick paper what should I do for this problem thanks

Hi.

I guess there is to much paper in the input-tray. Try lowering the paper-level in the tray and if it will act better..

first check the tray might be the paper is not placed properly, and check the roller pickup of the paper placed upside of the tray, might be the tray is not pushing up the paper to the roler thats why not your printer not picking up paper. try hard reset remove the power cable from the power outlet and at the back of the printer take 5 minutes to plug in back.

it keeps saing its out of paper

As a test, please try to print something using paper in the manual feed bin.

If that works, remove the tray, take all the paper out, verify the springs on the tray are working again then reinsert the paper and tray and try again.

Thanks for using FixYa. Paper jam is a very common problem with the printers.

First of all clean off the rubber piece that pulls the paper into the printer from the tray with rubbing alcohol, and also take a knife to the rubber piece to rough it up to create more traction.

To clear the paper jam problem you need to remove the back roller mechanism to get at paper. If still the problem persists, then check the following to resolve the issue--

1. Please check all interlocks, electrical and signal connections are seated properly.
2. Front cover, back cover and lid are closed properly.
3. Power plug and USB cable are connected.
4. Printer is turned on with switch on the back.
5. Toner signal lights sequenced, with yellow overall led on.
6. There is some noise of paper roller movement.
7. Toner signal lights all out, overall status light turned to red
8. No visible paper in paper tray or anywhere else.
9. No paper in tray---added paper
10. Waste toner container is full or not installed ---empty, installed properly.

first of all clean very well the pick up, then adjust the paper correctly, if doesn't work yet take a look under the printer, by pick ups side, may have a little piece to adjust the paper when it were pull, check if it is ok and if it has a spring.

Suggest you clean the pick-up rubber that lifts the paper.
And also lift up the front of your CLP-300 by about 3 inches. I put a box under the front. The paper will fed slightly downhill into the printer.
It works for me.

This problem is caused by a slippery paper pick-up roller. Because the paper slips, it "arrives" too late in the printer mechanism resulting in image shift or paper jam.
You can see this gray rubber roller by removing the paper tray and the imaging unit and turn the printer on his back. Sometimes it helps to "clean" the roller with some sandpaper (take care to remove all small particles!) and/or clean it with some liquid (white spirit, thinner etc.)
