You can find the documentation on the product page: https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/details/printers/support-inkjet-printer/mx-series/pixma-mx850 . Click on Manuals and scroll down. Pick the user manual that goes with your OS and click Select. Accept the terms of use and then click on Download. The manual is an executable file. You will need to run the program and then find the shortcut, notification icon or folder on your system. In Windows, the default location for the manual will be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Canon\IJ Manual.

If you did not install Fax Services within Windows it will not allow you to receive faxes unless your have other SW that came from the factory with your machine.
