The beeps are post during post the very first work is done by the ram,all the memory in the ram is first transferred to the hard disk, and remains active untill turned off.

make sure that your RAM is securely seated

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty

a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and to have and end to function
obvisously the beeps are windows searching for some hardware it could be RAM cd/dvd hard drive or motherboard all of these must have secure connections for the computer to work
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure make sure the connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
hope this helps

Well i connect the vga cable to the sreen and my computer but when i turn tht computer on the screen stays black ...i need help!!

Hi Omar,

Do you have a built-in vga port on your desktop as well as a video card with a VGA slot? Make sure you are plugging it into the correct one. If there are two you will need to specify in the BIOS to disable the built-in VGA port or use the other one.

Also, if you only have one and the vga port is on a video card, turn off and unplug power to the computer then make sure the video card is fully seated in the correct slot.

Do you here a sequence of beeps? If your computer is beeping, your motherboard manual includes a list of "BEEP codes" that indicate what problem your motherboard is reporting which could be memory, cpu or video related.

Well first its kind of the same problem but idnk wats wrong everything is new and built from scratch but nothin... it turns on fans spining and etc. but no turn on beep no boot to bios or nothing jus sits...

Hello
No beep?
1 Start with making sure all conections are correct, hard drive, dvd,cd,floppy.
2 Check that processor is mounted correctly, remove and do over.
3 Also processor fan.And heatsink.
4 Memory sticks, remove and put back in firmly and secure. If you have 4 memory slots and 2 memory sticks, seperate them. Most slots are color coded white blue white blue or whatever color you may have.So if you have 2 memory sticks put one in white slot, and the other in next white slot.

Im betting you have either processor in wrong or memory in wrong.

My motherboard gives 8 beeps and shows no video, I tested with several video cards and gives the same result. when the computer beeps (normal as it recognizes that although the bios), then emits...

Continious beep codes are caused by the memory (RAM). Try reseating your RAM just plug it out clean it then put it back in. Or try the other memory slots. Just transfer your memory to the other slot if you have an available slot on your motherboard. Or simply buy a new memory (RAM). Just make sure it is compatible to your motherboard. Beep codes means the computer is not reading the memory (RAM) properly. There is no post and no video in your computer because the RAM is not working properly.

Memory problem

First pull cmos cell from motherbord for 10 minutes.
then open processor fan and processor then clean dust from motherbord and all parts then reconnect processor and its fan.
Then refix RAM memory .
then if it beeps so long then most of it is your RAM problem.slot is more time works fine in that case.
Check your RAM in ALL MEMORY MODULE SLOT.

Long beeps on start-up & shows nothing

I can almost assure you that those beeps are telling you that you have burnt out your memory due to the static electricity of your body. If you are sincere give us the information we ask: (1) Manufacturer's name and Computer Name; (2) Model Name and Number; (3) The ID information of the mother board. If you can't find it we will help you! (4) We need a detailed report from you about what happened! Before the failure, during the failure, and after the failure. Send that info. and we will be in business.

Hp computer beeps and blank screen what cud be the

Check to make sure the new memory and processor is seated in the slot correctly. If either is not inserted fully it will cause the PC to beep and blank screen as your is doing. If that doesn't fix it your memory could be the wrong type or to large for the PC to recognize. JQ

Pc doesn't work - one long beep - l7vmm2

Hi gaby_fr25,
Try this, remove your memory & reseat it. (Clean the memory contacts with alcohol, let it dry before replacing & do not touch the contacts with your fingers at any time). (Blow the memory slots out with canned air, if you have some).
Boot the system & listen for the "long beep". If the long beep does not go away than do the same to your video card. (If your using an AGP add in card).
If the long beep continues & If you have more than one stick of memory, remove DIMM 2, (Memory slot farthest from the CPU).
Check for "long beep". Still there? Switch memory sticks. Remove DIMM one, (Closest slot to the CPU) & replace. Check for "long beep".
If nothing above has stopped the "long beep", post here & we'll try another option.

Good luck gaby_fr25!
Thank you for using fixya.

3 beeps and fan running at start up

The three beeps shows the Memory Module Test and that symbolise that the memory module is having a problem and to my knowledge when there is a problem with the memory then you have to open the casing and remove the memory module and clean the slot very well and if slot in back and the memory do the same change the to the second memory slot if it happens there again then you change the Memory module.
ok
